It is fresh but tastes like sheet cake. I thought it would taste amazing with all the hype but it is typical confection sugar filling between sheet cake. Disappointed. (Bought a rainbow cake slice)
Carlo's Bake Shop Express automated cake ATM at the Outlet Collection at Niagara! These machines are temperature controlled and restocked daily? Okay... They currently have 30-ish locations in major Canadian shopping malls, including GTA Eaton, Sherway Gardens, Yorkdale, Square One, Upper Canada, Toronto Premium Outlets, and so on. Well, it seems like they deleted other reviews. We've tried the rainbow cake and the white cake with sprinkles on separate occasions. Neither tasted fresh, and the sprinkles were soggy, not crunchy like fresh- not frozen should be. It's overpriced, and the slices are angled in the machine to appear larger than they are. You can buy a larger, better cake elsewhere in the mall for less than the price of a slice of these slices. It's a novelty. We did want to try the carrot cake...read full review
