“Dakgogi Barrhaven is an absolute gem! The Korean fried chicken is outstanding—perfectly crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Beyond the amazing food, the hospitality here is what truly sets them apart. The staff went above and beyond by giving my kids free fries, which was such a sweet, thoughtful gesture that made our family feel incredibly welcome. The service is fast, friendly, and the restaurant is spotless. We will definitely be regular customers!“

“If you’re in Ottawa and craving Korean food, you HAVE to check this place out! Everything we ordered was so good — the sundubu stew, spicy pork, and tteokbokki were all delicious. The spicy pork had such a nice smoky flavor, and I loved that it came out on a hot plate and stayed warm the whole time. The owner was also super friendly and made us feel really welcome. Definitely coming back if I’m ever in Ottawa again!“

“my new go to… the bowls were bountiful, generous amount of meat, vegetables and rice. the perfect ratio of sauce and only a dollar to add a fried egg. presentation and service impeccable. everything was homemade & the owners are so kind and helpful. the space is clean, the atmosphere cozy, and seating spacious. thank you bimbap.“

“We visited Sushi Fresh and it was a great experience for sushi lovers. Located in ByWard Market, the restaurant has a simple and cozy atmosphere that feels relaxed and welcoming.
The highlight was definitely the freshness of the sushi. The fish tasted clean and flavorful, while the rice had a good texture and balance. The presentation was neat and appetizing without feeling overly complicated.
Service was quick and friendly, and although the dining area is on the smaller side, it adds to the casual local-spot feel. It works well for dine-in, takeout, or a quick meal while exploring downtown Ottawa.
Many local diners also describe it as one of their favorite sushi places in Ottawa because of its consistency, generous portions, and fresh ingredients.
Overall experience was good.
Fresh sushi, good portions, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere — a place worth coming back to if you enjoy Japanese food in Ottawa. 🍣

“Alex was absolutely amazing! It was around 10:50 p.m., and so many places were already closed, making it really hard to find something good to eat. We were so grateful that Alex still took our order.
He patiently made our fried chicken and took the time to explain the differences between all the flavors, which made it so much easier for us to choose. His friendly attitude and great customer service really made our night. The chicken was delicious, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place，especially if you’re lucky enough to be served by Alex!“

“First time here, Panini and soup was unreal. Like everyone else it's a little hard to find. When you go in the lobby your auto instinct is to take the elevators to the right, but no go left and you will see the sign and the stairs right beside. Busy place to do you know it's good.“

“The quality of food is still the same, and my friend and I enjoy very much. It is the service that I have problem with: extensive wait time due to tables are not cleaned and ready, poor management on the floor (yup, the cleaning of the table is part of this problem). The floor staff should prioritize what should be done first and what's next (although there are only two guys on the floor). Changing the large portion of the restaurant to be the all-you-can-eat bbq is a bad move, and the choice is so limited makes me regret the first and only time when me and my girlfriends had the bbq. I hope they can be flexible on yhat.“

“Had a great experience at Koreana Restaurant! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The bulgogi was tender and well-seasoned, and the side dishes were a perfect addition to the meal.
