“Dakgogi Barrhaven is an absolute gem! The Korean fried chicken is outstanding—perfectly crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Beyond the amazing food, the hospitality here is what truly sets them apart. The staff went above and beyond by giving my kids free fries, which was such a sweet, thoughtful gesture that made our family feel incredibly welcome. The service is fast, friendly, and the restaurant is spotless. We will definitely be regular customers!“

“The place is really small! Not suited for a large group. Got seated outside. A little noisy with all the foot traffic and cars.

Food was really good! Got JJ noodles and it was really good. Good portions. Could have used more pork. Also got the whole chicken (snow cheese) and it was really good as well. Nice and crunchy! Would have liked some more sauce with it or to dip on the side. And could have used more mu or radish pickles.

Service. Unfortunately it was really busy for Tulip Festival weekend. And it was quite a wait for the food to come.

There was one young waitress who was really friendly and bubbly that kept us entertained/engaged. Don’t get her name.

“It's our third visit and still had a great time.

We had the dinner set up all you can eat.

Meats and side dish are all you can eat except for their complimentary meat pork slices with onions/salt/pepper that taste good for me. However the main meat they served with different slices of pork beef and chicken has a sweeter marinate. They have a squid and shirmp as well which I'm not a fan to eat when it comes to this kind of set up as I focus on meat.

Side dishes like fried dumplings, vegetable pancake, miso soup and kimchi radish, sweet potato are one of our favorites.

Bibimbap with their gochujang sauce and marinated meat is a must.

Staff are very polite and welcoming.

When we visit around 5:00pm Wednesday and the place was quiet as we're only the customer.

We paid for the side street parking and after 5:30pm it is free.

They still have the Melona for dessert and with different flavors like strawberry and mango but as usual our favorite is Honeydew.

Overall was a great visit, if you're craving for authentic Korean food.

Highly recommend.

Service was quick and friendly, and although the dining area is on the smaller side, it adds to the casual local-spot feel. It works well for dine-in, takeout, or a quick meal while exploring downtown Ottawa.

Many local diners also describe it as one of their favorite sushi places in Ottawa because of its consistency, generous portions, and fresh ingredients.

“The atmosphere is a little bit of a turn off for me, their tables are made of a circular slab of wood on top of a oil barrel, theirs usually flies flying around. But on the other hand, their fried chicken may or may not be some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. As for the service, I have no complaints about it.“

“Delicious little Japanese restaurant. Lots of variety besides sushi and daily specials. Busy at lunch time and minimal seating. Staff were very friendly and curteous. Clean restaurant. I had the Wes special salmon pike bowl, my companions had the vegetarian lunch and the mixed sushi lunch. We also shared the spicy tuna roll. All were delicious and well priced. I will be back!!“

“The quality of food is still the same, and my friend and I enjoy very much. It is the service that I have problem with: extensive wait time due to tables are not cleaned and ready, poor management on the floor (yup, the cleaning of the table is part of this problem). The floor staff should prioritize what should be done first and what's next (although there are only two guys on the floor). Changing the large portion of the restaurant to be the all-you-can-eat bbq is a bad move, and the choice is so limited makes me regret the first and only time when me and my girlfriends had the bbq. I hope they can be flexible on yhat.“

“First time here, Panini and soup was unreal. Like everyone else it's a little hard to find. When you go in the lobby your auto instinct is to take the elevators to the right, but no go left and you will see the sign and the stairs right beside. Busy place to do you know it's good.“
