We've been to Ponte Vecchio so many times. Once a month I'd say and I've written many positive reviews in the past. This visit however wasn't the best unfortunately. The menu has changed (which they often do) and our orders weren't as good as in the past. My daughter ordered the pasta with tomato sauce - simple dish - sauce was too chunky and portion was tiny. I ordered the lamb and it was extremely tough. In the past it was so tender. Also no flavour to it. The polenta wasn't as good as it used to be. My son ordered the filet and he enjoyed it. We got the creme brûlée for dessert and it was very runny. The cream wasn't thick. Overall our meal was a little disappointing. Hopefully just an off day for them.

One person ordered the beet special. There were literally only a couple beets over Al dente risotto. It was less than good and they have been fighting a bad case of the runs since eating it. The steak special was very good but unfortunately our visit was marked by the beet special. :( I hope this is not a common dish there.

Salmon feature was a bit disappointing, it was burnt, & very small portion and asparagus was stringy. Will definitely not order this feature again.

I had Gnocchi and a Caesar salad, They brought me complimentary cheesecake for desert as it was a celebration date. Everything was exceptionally delicious

The portions were very small. We were a party of 4 people- 2 enjoyed the food & 2 felt it was not up to past tastiness. The shrimp served with the tenderloin was rubbery & the beef was still showing raw when we asked for pink only showing not red meat. The server was very offhand & seemed distracted - pouring a Chardonnay into a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. He said he couldn't replace the glass with the same brand as it was only served by the bottle (which had been purchased originally) - so we got a glass of a different brand of wine which was not our first choice. There was a birthday dessert served to the one guest celebrating a birthday which was nice. The free cherry flavored dark chocolates given at the end are not great. Overall disappointing from past experiences there.

Had not eaten there in about 10 years. I remember the food and the atmosphere was fantastic. This was a birthday celebration. Serving fake risotto does not impress me. The anti Paso for two was tasteless. I would prefer to go to Casa Mia restaurant in Niagara Falls as the food there is far superior in flavor. For the money I spent it was not worth it. Three shrimps in a shrimp cocktail for $45 when there's two people is hard to split. You could throw it in extra shrimp just saying. And they weren't even that big.
