Antheia Reviews
The best culinary experience Ottawa has to offer. Such a gift to have Briana in our city. Would recommend this experience to anyone who loves great food and creativity in its highest form.
Spectacular dishes, service and interior. Absolutely outstanding creativity with cuisines revolving around fermentation. Both wine and fermented beverages are worth trying as well. Briana Kim is an amazing chef!
Intention, dedication, and perfect execution. With a vision clearly established, Antheia delivers an unforgettable dining and service experience. We left inspired, full, and happy. We can't wait to return for the next menu offering.
PS the fermented beverage pairing is as inspiring as the food items.

Antheia is a tranquil, exceptional, and exquisite fine dining restaurant in Ottawa, considered a true gem and a fantastic new addition to the city's scene. It offers a creative, unique, and delicious vegan tasting menu that stands at the very top, with remarkably inventive fermentation techniques executed with precision and depth of flavor. The food is just as good as the chef's previous celebrated restaurant, making it a natural next chapter. Flavors are accessible and unpretentious, with specific highlights including the potato pancake snack, the summer berries, the milk buns, and the mille-feuille.
The attention to detail is meticulous, superb, and exceptional in every aspect, from the execution and appeal of each dish to the carefully curated decor, cozy and serene atmosphere, and design of the open kitchen, dinnerware, and lighting. The whole experience is a performance without trying too hard. The service is personal, knowledgeable, and attentive.
The house-fermented juice pairings are delicious and complex, with a welcome drink that provides a great start, though the pairings can feel somewhat homogenous. The restaurant, located upstairs with a subtle entrance, features seating mostly at a bar with a few tables. It is hands down considered the best restaurant in Ottawa, vegetarian or not, rivaling top restaurants in bigger cities and a must for all Ottawa foodies.
