Comfort Food Restaurants in Ottawa, ON

“Visited Montana's 13th November 2022 with a group of 7 other people. The atmosphere was good, enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and conversation, followed by our server taking our meal order. She was very efficient and ensured all our needs were met. The order took longer than expected to arrive, and when it did, the food was just warm. We explained to the server who was apologetic, the food was heated to our satisfaction, and enjoyed by all. We were visited by the Manager In order to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, following the issue we had experienced. She very kindly told us she was giving us a reduction on the total price as a sign of goodwill, and also provided free dessert for the group. I would say that was an excellent show of hospitality on the part of Montana's, and we will definitely be arranging future visits.“

“My group comes every Thursday for wings night and Alicia is often our server. She is very kind and attentive and always makes us feel welcome! We continue coming back because we know Alicia will provide us with excellent service. She is so wonderful and always has a smile on her face.“

“I have celiac so this is a chain I can have roast chicken and sauce. Roasted chicken without sauce is just not the same. That said it makes for a very empty plate and unfortunately the restaurant is not vey generous with the fries even though they don’t need to provide a bun. As a result, I’m still a little hungry when I leave (not the first time this has happened). A half chicken would be too much food so I wish they would at least provide more in terms of qty for the side dish, in this case fries, with the quarter chicken.

Atmosphere was fine but a portion of the restaurant needs some TLC.

“I ordered a steak medium. It came medium rare. She offered to put it back on the grill for me but I declined because the steak was already a little tough and I didn't want it to be tougher. My friend had her steak well done and she had trouble chewing but - well done steak - I didn't expect any different. The gravy was way to salty and hard to eat. The server was great, she left us alone and let us talk, filling out drinks when needed. We did have to track her down at the end for the bill but she got very busy and we were there a long time. I would recommend this place just not the steak. We both had cheesecake for dessert and took some home.“

“Came here last Sunday and my amazing server Nadia took great care of me and my boyfriend, she was super friendly, gave us tons of reccomendation and generally an easy person to talk to. I will be back on Sundays because nothing beat her service“

“Reserving a spot for six of us for dinner before an Ottawa Charge game was fairly simple. All of us absolutely enjoyed our meals which came out in a decent amount of time. I had the delicious beet salad with grilled chicken - fresh and tasty - and my wife had the blackened Cod which was scrumptious! No complaints. Highly recommend.“

“The ambiance and food was great, my server was Liam and despite being tucked away, he made sure to check in with me and see if I needed anything. The food came really fast - the beef wagyu gyoza are unexpectedly amazing and plated beautifully. I would go back, it was great.“

“They have karaoke night every first Saturday night of the month which was so fun. The entertainment crew were very engaging however my boyfriend and I were very uncomfortable with how one of them was dressed and I think it is inappropriate. Staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered the burgers from the menu and it felt like the frozen patties and wasn’t my favourite. Overall a fun night. We will definitely come back.“
