Big Joe's Convenience - Pizza and Sandwich Shop is a great little diamond in the rough. The baker is incredibly kind and everything is baked fresh daily. The butter tarts are outstanding with perfectly balanced crust and rich, delicious fillings. The lemon meringue and double double really stood out for their creativity, and the Lemon 🍋 meringue tarts won top prize at the Midland festival. They also make Milano pizza, which is amazing, and the pastries are very good. The butter tart selection is interesting, ranking highest on a local list. The baker, Adrian, was extremely friendly and welcoming. A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. For the butter tart-minded folk, recommend trying every flavour. Order ahead of time to get your favourite delights, and note that there is no tax if you buy more than 6, and a free butter tart may be included.
