This has been a regular spot for me and my husband for awhile now. The last two times we went it just hasn’t been the same. We were there about a month ago for dinner on the patio. I ordered the chicken bowl and my husband got a burger. The food took a lot longer than usual and the chicken bowl wasn’t very good. The server was nice and took it off the bill. 3.75 stars overall. the menu is quite versatile. prices are average. calamari was $23, burgers were about $24 each. pretty interior, 10/10 music! atmosphere brings up the rating a lot, while service brings it down.

This was a fabulous experience! Tourists from Toronto, we loved the atmosphere. The food was amazing and service was great! Highly recommend!

Grey's Social Eatery is located in the heart of Ottawa’s Byward Market. Tables are well spaced for a feeling of privacy, and the music is low enough for easy conversation, though the lighting can be very low.
The menu is varied, featuring dishes like a seated tuna bowl, cauliflower bits, and chicken supreme, with portions noted as huge and delicious. Food prices are very reasonable. The drink menu includes excellent Cabernet Sauvignon, decently-priced white wine, and creative cocktails, though drink prices are a bit steeper than expected. They also offer specials like half-price wine on Wednesdays.

They provide the perfect amount of attentive but not intrusive service and are really accommodating for group needs, making events feel special.
