I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago. I ordered an Hugo spritz, the sushi & steak and the Caesar salad with salmon. Everything was delicious. We ended up having a medical emergency and the entire staff did everything they could to help us and I’m so grateful for the fact that they quickly went into action while everyone else was stressed. A big shoutout to Sofia, Cam, Nick and Emelina. 10/10 service!!!

Grey's Social Eatery is located in the heart of Ottawa’s Byward Market. The venue offers a perfect atmosphere for an intimate dinner and drinks or for hosting events, with a private room described as intimate and spacious. Tables are well spaced for a feeling of privacy, and the music is low enough for easy conversation, though the lighting can be very low.
The menu is varied, featuring dishes like a seated tuna bowl, cauliflower bits, and chicken supreme, with portions noted as huge and delicious. Food prices are very reasonable. The drink menu includes excellent Cabernet Sauvignon, decently-priced white wine, and creative cocktails, though drink prices are a bit steeper than expected. They also offer specials like half-price wine on Wednesdays.
The service is consistently highlighted as top tier, friendly, quick, and professional, with staff happy to talk through menu options. They provide the perfect amount of attentive but not intrusive service and are really accommodating for group needs, making events feel special. Overall, it is a great location for a proper dining experience.
