“Went to Fatboys for the first time tonight and it won’t be our last. After waiting for a seat we were met by the owner who welcomed us and told us we would enjoy the food and he wasn’t wrong we had the Kentucky shared platter and it was definitely filling and the price was affordable. Our server was Emma who filled our drinks and told us what food was coming and what dips were available. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Will definitely be back“

“Lexington Bar and Grill has long been one of my favourite places to celebrate whether it’s a birthday, a date night, or any special occasion. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, and the service is consistently excellent. Their servers are friendly, attentive, and genuinely make you feel taken care of.

When it comes to food, Lexington can be incredible. My usual order includes the burnt ends, the fork‑and‑knife chicken, and their world‑famous potato salad. The chicken and potato salad are always spot‑on from comforting, flavorful, and reliably delicious.

Where things get tricky is with some of their barbecue items, especially the brisket and burnt ends. My favourite dish is the brisket, and when it’s done right, it’s unforgettable. There have been times when it’s arrived perfectly smoked, tender, and genuinely melt‑in‑your‑mouth good.. the kind of brisket that’s so juicy and rich you barely need to chew. Moments like those are exactly why I keep going back.

But unfortunately, those highs are inconsistent. I usually order the two‑meat platter with a piece of brisket and a rack of ribs, and more often than not the brisket shows up cold. That’s a real letdown, especially knowing how incredible it can be when everything lines up.

The burnt ends fall into the same pattern. At their best, they’re caramelized, smoky little cubes of perfection (Glossy, tender, and packed with flavour). But too often, they come out dry or lacking the depth and richness they’re known for. It’s disappointing because I know what Lexington is capable of on their best days.

All of this leaves me feeling like I’m playing a bit of Russian roulette with my plate. The potential is absolutely there, and when they hit their stride, the food is truly outstanding. I just wish the consistency matched the quality they can deliver.

That said, I still recommend Lexington especially if you stick to the standouts, like the fork‑and‑knife chicken and that legendary potato salad. When the kitchen’s on point, the experience is fantastic, and it remains one of my go‑to places for a special night out.“

“Stopped and bought some smoked fish and a seafood pie.
The young clerk was very knowledgeable and helpful.
