This place is a hidden gem, you must order the large pork, coloured rice and get extra sauce and pikliz. THIS DISH WILL NOT DISAPPOINT. $25 all in. I have been coming here for half a decade . The quality is always consistent . Don’t hesitate to swing by for lunch or dinner ! 🥘 they speak French but accommodate English ! Ps. Longest I have ever waited for my food here is half an hour when slammed at dinner time , any other time I’m in and out in 15 minutes or less.
Having visited Soleil des Iles multiple times, I have always been impressed by the exceptionally delicious food, which many consider to be among the best in Ottawa. However, my recent experience has once again highlighted significant shortcomings in customer service and overall ambiance that detract from what could be a truly outstanding dining experience.

One of the most glaring issues at Soleil des Iles is the poor customer...
You come here for the food. The fried pork with rice and bean sauce is the best comfort meal ever. Order it as Petit Griot avec sauce pois (Small fried pork with bean sauce) or Gros Griot avec sauce Pois. (large). Staff speaks little to no english, service can be interesting but noone complains because the Griot is just that dam good!
