Went to the King Eddy for the first time today. What a wonderful experience!! Immaculate surroundings..very good food and well presented and staff was absolutely great. Went for the first time yesterday! The decor is beautiful and the food was decent. That being said, the service…. Not so much. It took forever for our orders to be taken and then forever again for us to get the bill. I would make eye contact with a server who wasn’t ours hoping she would get the hint we needed help, but instead she would see me and then hide behind the bar or in the kitchen. You could tell the team working yesterday hated each other

Food was decent, though quite expensive, but it's in Byward Market so it is what it is! Patio was quite nice and not too busy in the morning, but seemed to have lots of regulars that enjoy it. Eggs Benedict was tasty, and portions were good. Coffee was sub par, but passable. Inside looks like it has been redone and it looks quite sharp in there.
Amazing food and one of my go-to spots! The fried chicken is full of flavor better than KFC. Loved the King Eddy Burger, poutine, and the Guinness-Baileys chocolate shake. Portion sizes are big, but staff offered takeaway boxes without asking. Most of the staff were friendly and attentive, though one server was rude and made the experience uncomfortable until I switched. Would love to see more drink options and daily specials. Overall, great food and vibes!

Had an amazing lunch at King Eddy’s! We tried the fish & chips, King Eddy burger, steak and eggs, and a local IPA beer. Everything was delicious—the beer was crisp and refreshing, the fish & chips were golden and flavorful, and the steak was perfectly cooked well-done, tender, and tasty. The King Eddy burger was juicy and packed with flavor.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing lunch. Service was outstanding—fast, attentive, and friendly. Our server, Cole, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience.
King Eddy’s is a true gem for great food, great drinks, and even better service. Can’t wait to come back!
