“I was walking home and passed the restaurant. Young man out side was bbqing something good and was polite. Got a block away and still could smell the delicious food he was cooking. Turned around and went back. Store was clean but looked empty. The young man came in from cooking and I asked what was good. He suggested the daily special. Jerked pork. I got a large. And ordered some Samosa. I only regret was waiting the 4 blocks it took me to get home before eating it. Huge amount of rice and peas on the bottom with fried plantains in the corner. But the amount of pork I got for the 12$ they charged made me feel like I was ripping them off. This will feed me for 2 meals. I am a big guy and can eat. This place is amazing. 5stars for amount of food 5 for quality of service and if I could 10 stars for the taste. Bbqed and blackened just right. Not dry or tough. So good I’ll be back to try the curry goat and roti this weekend. Also say yes to the sauce and the slaw. Both outstanding.“
“Just letting you know this is not Caribbean food. They made a nice try on the j*** chicken but that's about it. Best time to come is at lunch when food is fresh. It is oily but not to bad- you will get your moneys worth and feel full. Veggies are steamed and good. Don't expect it to wow you- just average.“
“My "go to" carribean restaurant in Peterborough/ Kawartha Lakes. Khalid may challenge you to eat the roti with your hands - good luck. I always get the jerk chicken or chicken roti here when I'm cruising through Peterborough. Today I also had a double and it was great! If you're hungry and want a bit of island spice - this is the place.“
