“[High Tea]Their French toast🍞 is a must-try,
and they even surprised us with complimentary soup 🍲 and sweet dessert drinks 🫕.
The welcoming vibe of a true “cha chaan teng” makes this place special. Highly recommend! 🌟
I feel vibe of genuine HK-style tea restaurant ☕️! (香港的人情味)“

“Good place to stop by to pick up some main dishes for dinner. Taste is okay, but their service is the best. They are the only BBQ place I have seen who chops up the meat first and then weight it. My kid likes the crispy BBQ skin.
Note that they only take cash. As of April 2025, half a duck is $20.“

“Tasty soups! I just wish their tea bags did not contain Stevia. Not only is it not good for your health, but it also leaves a gross taste in your mouth. Please take the Stevia out of your tea bags. We can add honey when we make it at home instead!“

“Wouldn't be a legit Chinese restaurant if it didn't average between 3.5 and 4 😂...but I do want to share my really positive experience here.
We came in thinking this location also offered all day dim sum like one of its sister locations, but found out this location is more of an HK Cafe. The two ladies working here were very kind and patient with my elderly father which was very appreciated. They took time to explain the menus to him and were just overall really pleasant.
We ordered two of the BBQ pork and noodle specials, which came with good portion sizes. We also got the BBQ pork rice dish, which was a huge portion size and included a drink. The value for money on these were fantastic ($9.99 for the specials and $17.99 for the BBQ pork rice).
I think a lot of the reviews mix this location up with its other locations, but we really enjoyed our experience at the Times Square location!“

“This place is my go to Chinese restaurant for family meals! There is always something for everyone, including a great selection of beverages!
I am subtracting a point because I had to park two plazas over the parking lot was very hectic and packed with cars waiting to swipe a spot.
My recommendations are the bubble tea , Ying yang fried rice, and turnip cubes!“

“This is a place with the best bang for the buck. You can get 2 lobster, half a steamed chicken, and 4 other dishes of your choosing for 85 dollars. It was enough to feed our table of 8. The food is cooked really well. Typical Cantonese food with great value. It seems like this is the place where time forgot to update the price.
The service is interesting to say the least. The servers are rude, inpatient and full of sass but we had a great time coming here. We were prompted before hand about the rudeness of this place and went in with those expectations. It’s hilarious the small server lady can dish out so much condescending words to her co workers and her patrons and still have people lining out the door. It became comedic to me and reminded me of stereotypical 1970 diners you see in movies.
Truly an awesome experience! Food is great for the price but sometimes in life, you have to be humbled to stay grounded. For 100 bucks, you can get a good meal for 8 people and a life lesson.“

“The oxtail soup noodle tasted so good! The signature stone mill rice rolls were fantastic but next time I’m gonna try their classic independent flavor rice rolls! The fried dumplings were mediocre as the taste and the portion were both not very impressive. The vibe was very old Cantonese style restaurant. I’ll make an immediate renovation here if I am the business owner. :)“

“I 've been to this place 3 days ago with 4 of my friends. We ordered sweet and sour pork with pineapple; Pork belly with preserved vegetables and Chinese sausage sticky rice. The quality of all dishes are better than what I expected. What I appreciate most is that they didn't put too much MSG onto the food like other restaurants do and overall the price is economical low. The only downside is we needs some patience to look for a space to park our car.“

“Flavourful comfort food. Well season and prepared just like home. Wish I have more stomach room to try their signature claypot rice. Will drop by again. Thanks for the meal.🍽️
Return on Jan 25th 2025, tried their eel claypot for 2 serving. Definitely flavourful even without adding extra sauce. Get to taste the eel in every bite. Go with their recommended KayLan with stir fry tender Beef and seasonal meaty fresh oyster with garlic. Go for it 🦪 .Had a wonderful dinner for sure.“

“Taste ok. Milk tea was good.
Just a little bit weird that no soup with the noodles when you take it togo.
The waiter told me to boil the at water home and add it in.
If I can boil a water, I think I can make a instant noodles myself.“

“Gourmet Kitchen is tucked away in the corner food court at the Silver Star plaza. Got the lo mai fan (Cantonese sticky rice) and it was so flavourful!! Rice was well made and there was a very good variety and portion of toppings. Their service is fast and meals even come with a drink. Remember to bring cash!“

“There are many Cantonese dishes, and the prices are relatively affordable compared to the restaurants nearby. It is a surprise shop. The decoration is not particularly beautiful from the outside, but I ordered the "Mandarin Duck Rice" ”, although it took about 20 minutes to wait, the chicken was chicken-flavored and the shrimps were big, and the soups provided were also very filling, and the attitude was OK, so full marks.“

“Had to get a full BBQ roasted duck last minute. Found them on Google and called the owner. His name is Joe. Very nice guy. I bought a duck just before he closed at 7pm. Good quality and good tasting duck! My senior parents enjoyed it and they are very picky. Will return to buy more! Thanks Joe!“

“This place gets really busy, arrive before they open or you’ll have to wait 30-45 minutes for a table. You’ll get a number at the front booth and they will call it out - CASH ONLY!!!
Great food, tasty and fresh to order. All arrived quickly, but it’s a little pricey in comparison to other dim sum restaurants.“

“This salt-baked chicken is so delicious! ! !At first, I didn’t have a clear understanding of the difference between shredded chicken.Ordered a direct cut?Slightly salty, it’s just delicious boiled chicken! The flavorful one! Very fresh! good smell! Special meal! The chicken breasts were very tender and not stale at all. Just eat it with green onion and ginger soul sauce and you can really enjoy two bowls of rice.-Today I ordered hand-shredded chicken and salt-baked chicken. They will actually cut it for you on the spot?, tear it on the spot, season it, and toss it??The chicken breast is still very tender, moist and tasty.Chicken skin is crispy and not greasyI am so in love with you that I must give everyone my blessing! ! ! ! !“

“We went to Good Taste Casserole Rice on a Saturday, we were seven and we all ordered a rice casserole. They took longer to be served than most dishes in general. They came with a soup and a side of vegetables. I like that we get to add our own salt and soy sauce ourselves. We all loved the crispy rice stuck on the casseroles, as shown on one of the pictures. We don’t get to eat that with our instant rice cookers anymore, unlike when my parents used to cook our rice in a pot on the stove. Overall fresh, good and reasonably priced Chinese comfort food.“

Lobster isn't the only thing this place nails, oh no, because their Peking Duck is absolutely phenomenal, and I honestly prefer this over all the glamorous seafood. Every table around us had these crispy bites of duck skin that burst with an addictingly indulgent fattiness of the duck, complemented by a juicy portion of meat. The pancakes are thicker than normal too, which is perfect for soaking up any juices that dare escape. The lobster was ultra fresh and cooked perfectly, for a subtly sweet taste in a fragrant ginger scallion sauce with a crisp, bouncy flesh. My must-order at every Chinese restaurant is their beef tenderloin, and this place elevates it with a savory and slightly sweet Maggi sauce with pine nuts and walnuts. Each bite is tender, flavourful and unbelievably addictingly, even with tough competition from the Peking duck and lobster. This feast had no shortage of delicious dishes that I sometimes struggled to choose my next bite, a crisp crunchy serving of suckling pig, deep-fried oysters in a sweet osmanthus sauce, crispy free-range chicken, and a humble vegetarian braised E-Fu noodle. The service was good, plates were frequently changed, and the seating was spacious.“
