“I ordered the casserole rice with three toppings — BBQ eel, assorted preserved meat and BBQ pork — and it was absolutely delicious. The rice had a lovely smoky crust at the bottom, the toppings were rich and full of flavour, and everything was cooked perfectly. The flavours really took me back to Hong Kong, and the soy sauce is what makes it outstanding. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out piping hot. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Located in Regent Park, Broadview Chinatown this classic, no-frills kind of restaurant that’s great for both takeout and dining in. The service is friendly and the food comes out incredibly quick.
A well known local secret is that Drake Hotel’s executive chef dines here often for the foodies. Eventhough being a modest diner, the food is tasty and generous in size.
Chinese barbecue 燒味 hangs in the window, ready for takeout. A favourite spot in the neighbourhood even when it was called Sing Sing BBQ before the owener retired, a fixture on Broadview for decades.
This spot is suitable for quick meal even if take out, the hospitable staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great.
Supreme Taste is currently walk-in only no app or delivery service.
👍 they accept credit cards with a minimum spending requirement, additional green onion sauce for the free range chicken free, and
the owner speaks near prefect English who changed his career from being a banking manager.“

“Good food. Cozy place. Open early morning. One of the best rice rolls. Their chef recommended dishes are all pretty good.
Milk tea is served with sugar on the side . I can manage my own sugar in take , which i like a lot.“

“It was strange, the dishes I ordered (spaghetti bolognese and iced lemon tea) were really delicious, but my bf got Portuguese chicken and iced ying yuen and he said they both tasted weird/not normal. The Portuguese chicken contained pineapple which was unexpected, and he said the ying yuen just didn't taste that good compared to what he's had before. I agree that there really shouldn't be pineapple in Portuguese chicken, but I can't confirm whether it tasted bad or not; I guess if you love pineapple you might enjoy it. They also give a starter soup, and we were given the corn soup, and that was super yummy. Overall it was an average experience for an HK cafe, and depending on what you get it can be a hit or miss.“

“I've only gone here for takeout BBQ. Can definitely say that after 40 years of eating BBQ meats almost every week this is definitely one of the best spots and very reasonably priced compared to some of the other spots in China town where the prices have sky rocketed lately“

“Had the roast and BBQ pork. This is to die for. It's busy at lunch time for good reason.. people drive from far away to get here for this.. even the rice has a special taste. And prices.. a double dish cost me 13.. and I can not eat it all.. so many other foods as well chicken duck. You just have to come.. cash only.. but we'll worth the wait.. show up early. 11 am you order and wait.. at 12 you are waiting out the door.. its that good.. it will not disappoint“

“We stumbled upon their poster while in the area & had to drop by for a quick lunch the next day. They offer morning special combos for only $7.25 but we unfortunately missed the 11:30 AM deal. Nonetheless, we got a fish congee and sang jian bao to share which were both delicious! I think this spot was quite authentic as the congee was well made with generous protein & boneless fish meat. Service was fast and the food came out fairly quickly. This restaurant is shared with big beef bowls which was nice because you could order from both menus. My family will definitely be back for the morning special!“

“I’ve been a customer of Tender Trap Restaurant for over two years, and the experience has always been excellent. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and well prepared. Every dish I’ve tried has great flavor and good portion sizes.
The staff is always friendly, attentive, and provides great customer service. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and has a very welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place to dine.
After visiting many times, I can confidently say this is one of the best places to eat in the area. If you’re looking for quality food, good service, and a pleasant environment, I highly recommend Tender Trap Restaurant. I will definitely continue coming back.“

“Amazing. Fresh super busy food doesn’t sit long. The crispy ginger chicken is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. I’m surprised the owner recognizes me as I’ve only been 3 times. This was the first place I ate at outside my house for 3 years we didn’t because of Covid. Now I go every Friday. It’s a hidden gem and a must try. Be careful you may get addicted.“

“Nestled within the bustling corridors near Eaton Centre, Moon Palace is the kind of establishment one might unwittingly pass by — and that would be a regrettable oversight. Behind its unassuming exterior lies a dining room of quiet sophistication: modern, luminous interiors with tasteful appointments that signal immediately this is no ordinary Cantonese restaurant.
The dim sum programme is where Moon Palace truly distinguishes itself. Each piece arrives with a precision and generosity of filling that speaks to genuine kitchen pride — plump dumplings, impeccably fresh shrimp, and roasted meats that carry an unmistakable depth of flavour reminiscent of Hong Kong's finest teahouses. The quality of ingredients is evident in every bite; nothing here feels like an afterthought.
What deserves particular commendation is the consistency. Over multiple visits, the standard has never wavered — a hallmark of disciplined kitchen craft that is rarer than it should be. In a neighbourhood saturated with tourist-facing options, Moon Palace maintains an unwavering commitment to authenticity and refinement.
Service is attentive and gracious without being intrusive, contributing to an atmosphere that invites one to linger. I have recommended Moon Palace to friends and colleagues without hesitation, and will continue to do so. A polished gem in downtown Toronto's culinary landscape.“

“If you're looking for an amazing Chinese food experience, this place is it! It's straight-forward and delicious food. You NEED to get the crispy beef. The garlic beef tenderloin and lemon chicken were also spectacular. The waitstaff were friendly and quick. The washrooms were clean. We will be coming back!“

“An asian food court stall and this one has to be one of my fave spots.
The food here for the price is awesome. Cannot beat the price especially the noodle and rice dishes. The Shanghai fried noodle and the beef fried rice noodle are both under $10 which is a great deal compared to competitors that are going to be well over the $10 mark.
The noodles have great wok hei and the noodles I could eat over and over again. The other good thing is that it all comes with a drink. I have tried the cold soy milk and the cold chrysanthemum tea. Both go very well with the dishes here as it’s cooling with all that wok hei.
They also have course meals which you can choose from several options. And all at a good price too. Can’t remember how much it came out to, but I think the 6 course meal was about $70 if I am not mistaken.
Service is quick and they do speak Cantonese and Mandarin, but I tried some items in English and it was fine.
Super quick turnaround to get your order too.
Parking can be difficult when it is meal times as there isn’t enough parking for the amount of restaurants in this plaza. So will have to be patient or park in the adjacent area where the no frills is.
Great job overall“

“Food 4/5
Service 4/5
Vibe 3/5 (food court so nothing fancy)
If you want something fast and not needing to wait in like for those Hong Kong Style Cafe in Markham, this is the place!
It is technically open kitchen😂so everything is made fresh upon your eyes.
I love their pan fried vermicilii and hong kong style ice milk tea! (It can get bitter sometimes so ask for more sugar, they are nice)
Overall great pricing, easy and homey! 5/5“

“Came here on a snowstormy Sunday. There was still a small line but only a 5 minute wait. They only accept cash. Value for money, the food was good! Roast pork was crunchy. I paid additional $2 to get belly. The soup that comes with the order was perfect for a cold snowy day. Not much for service. It’s transactional. They want you in and out fast.“

“Went here on a weekday night and there were many tables available.
The claypot rice was good. The rice was delicious and had a nice crispy layer on the bottom. The toppings were ok.
We ordered a few other dishes and I felt that the flavouring was a hit or miss. Like some were over-seasoned and some were under.“

“Having a warm claypot meal on a cold day really hits the spot. In fact i was so hungry and eager that i didnt even take a picture of the original presentation. When taking into account the price and what you get it's a great deal.
As for atmosphere, this is no fancy restaurant. It's one of those hole in the wall types. But you can see it's one where people can comfortably eat without ceremony.“

“When I was working at Guangdong TV station more than 30 years ago, I often went to the nearby "Dake" food stall to eat. Stir-fried beef rice noodles, hand-pulled rice rolls, chicken rice porridge, braised pig intestines, cold melon beef, etc. were all must-haves for us. Called Xiaodian. Unexpectedly, a "Dake" porridge, noodle and porridge shop opened in Toronto many years ago. The store's hand-pulled rice rolls have thin, tender skin, and the porridge is made with authentic ingredients, full of flavor, and is reasonably priced. Worth recommending.“

“Best Chinese food in Toronto. Every time I come here, service is great and quick, and most importantly the food is amazing every single time. They have a large interior with many large tables for big groups. The restaurant is clean & tidy and feels like it has a very authentic atmosphere. The price for the food is also very reasonable.
My favorite dishes are the General Tso chicken, Szechuan beef, yung chow fried rice and the shanghai noodle.“

“I think the food was actually quite good. Generous portions. Served fast, and fresh. I had a spring roll that was a little cold otherwise food would have been 5/5. But portions really great and good flavour (love the Hunan tofu). It's a dirty place and a bit rundown. The staff seem busy with delivery orders but we weren't in a hurry. My mother loves this place.“

“Gourmet Kitchen is tucked away in the corner food court at the Silver Star plaza. Got the lo mai fan (Cantonese sticky rice) and it was so flavourful!! Rice was well made and there was a very good variety and portion of toppings. Their service is fast and meals even come with a drink. Remember to bring cash!“

“I gave a 5 stars was becos' u know what I went there so many times, went for lunch , bunch & supper too. So, there was good & bad abt. this. I tell u u have to try the pineapple crust topping bbq pork buns. I could eat a doz at 1 go, but of cos' I did not do so, there r other food to taste. Too bad for their deals , u can only choose A or B, & also only 1, u cannot choose 2 of A. So we had to go back to try the B. I preferred the B. If u had to choose, choose B. The tray of goodies r very good. The supper was ok. So I can show u some of the food we had.“
