Lai Wah Heen Reviews
味道口感都很不错,太爱辣
We had a fantastic evening- not only was the food lovely but the service was great. A polite, well spoken and knowledgeable waiter really made the evening for us, helping us order and a pleasure to meet.
If you’re looking for a traditional yet elevated dimsum experience, you have found the right place! Everything about LWH is a few steps above the norm, from the ambience and quality of service to the complexity and quality ingredients.
By a long mile, this is the best service we have ever received from a dimsum restaurant. We enjoyed the flavour profile and refined approach to traditional dishes, which completed the experience for us.

Located on the 2nd floor of a hotel, Lai Wah Heen offers friendly and attentive service that many guests appreciate. The room is lovely, and the ambiance makes it a special place for celebrations. The restaurant has undergone a makeover, with updated decor and a new menu featuring inventive dishes. While the prices may be steep, guests find the food delicious, especially the dim sum, which is still regarded as the best in Toronto. The dim sum items are described as refined, and the presentation of dishes is often noted as top-notch. The Peking duck, although good, was served in a manner that some found deceptive, as the traditional preparation was not followed, leading to a lack of the expected three-course experience. The service is efficient, with some wishing they could give it more than 5 stars. Guests have enjoyed complimentary tea and figs at the beginning of their meal. The venue is seen as old and lacking in sophistication given the high prices, yet many express a desire to return for dim sum and dinner. The unique selection of tea leaves sourced from the restaurant's local farm adds to the experience. While some find the food underwhelming, the tasting menu, which offers 9 courses of nouvelle Cantonese cuisine, has received positive feedback. The restaurant also validates parking for those who drive.
