Sushi Bars near Stittsville

“I dont usually give praise.. however I wanted to tell you guys about the experience I had with Maki sushi. Something happen to our order and David is a lowkey superhero. He defused the situation and provided a solution and covered 100% of their most expensive platter. I have not seen such amazing customer service in my life, let alone the sushi being pretty good and reasonable priced. One negative I would add was I wish there were more selection though. However tuna and salmon are my fav and that was fully on their menu

“For starters, before we get into the actual food, the location is very good. It is located inside of Independent, so you can pick up some dinner while your shopping. The design of the sushi bar and the sign are simplistic and satisfying to view. They have all the sushi on display ready for you to grab and purchase, since there is a self checkout right beside it. Now, for the food. They had a lot of different options for types, and quantity of the sushi you want. I was very hungry tonight, so I grabbed the supreme family pack, so it filled me perfectly. As for the sushi it’s self, IT WASN’T dry, hard, and old as another review claimed. It was fresh, moist, and tasted pretty good. It tastes better than you would expect for sushi from a grocery store, and I don’t regret buying it. There was a type of sushi in the pack I’ve never seen before, it must’ve been a special. Needless to say, it tasted very good and I would get it again. The only complaint I have is that the sushi got kind of overwhelming after I was almost done (one cali roll left). Besides that, it was a very pleasant sushi experience and I would definitely but it again.“

“Truly SOOO DELICIOUS!! Perhaps the best torched sushi I’ve had in Ottawa. The fish is so fresh and even the vegetarian sushi is delicious. I am absolutely addicted to their Torched Crispy Tuna! Very reasonably priced too. The best in the city, just looking at these pics is making me crave them again.“

“The food was really good and fresh, and our order came out fast, which was great.
The only weird part was the service — the servers didn’t seem very friendly and didn’t smile at all, which made the atmosphere feel a bit uncomfortable.
Overall though, the food was worth it. I’d still recommend this place and would come back again.“

“Extremely fresh ingredients, extra crispy onions on top and perfect other ingredients-rice ratio.

It's not cheap, but also quality comes with a price most of the times. I forgot that here in Canada prices are displayed without taxes, I was hoping to pay 17 dollars for this dish, but I ended paying almost 20.“

“Once again they knock it out of the park. Me and my friend came in for dinner and ordered the general toa with beef & veggies. It was delish. And don't get me started on the portions. The staff was super friendly and served us very well. If you're looking for a little gem of a restaurant I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I know I wasn't. Enjoy“

“Sushi was very fresh and tasty. A bit pricey for the size of the smaller rolls but delicious nonetheless. They were generous with the pickled ginger and soya sauce. Service was friendly. Staff made some suggestions and gave me a sheet that explained what was inside the different types of rolls. I enjoyed them all.“
