Took a visiting friend here and he was impressed. Food was amazing, chef did some customization on the spicing. Service was a bit slow but it's a busy place.

Great little jewel food was sizzling hot great atmosphere free parking. Gluten free items as well.
Extremely rude gentleman who will behave with you depending on the size of your order, refused to serve us since we didn’t order much. And looks at you degradingly if you even dare to leave a tip lesser than 15 percent. 10 percent is demeaning for him.

Stopped in for lunch with a friend and left absolutely impressed.
The sweet and sour soup was a perfect start — bright, balanced, and just the right way to kick things off. The house special ginger chicken stir fry lived up to its name; the ginger came through beautifully without overpowering, and everything was cooked just right. Then the Cantonese chow mein with a side of rice sealed the deal — perfectly sauced noodles with that classic Cantonese touch, and the rice rounded it all out nicely.
The Banana Leaf is tucked back in a corner of a plaza in trendy downtown Stoney Creek — easy to miss, but we spotted it. And as destiny would have it... glad we did.
Great food, great company, great value. We'll be back.

Went with my family tonight for dinner and was greeted warmly! Tom was excellent and so caring when he was taking our order. He acted very professionally for his age and overall just a nice person that you would want to be served by. I would definitely recommend this place for family gatherings.

The owner was sweet, taking his time to serve every course. Unfortunately, other than the hot and sour soup- the food was terrible. The food was tasteless. The peppered beef and Schezuan chicken dishes had sauce that tasted like soya sauce. The Pad Thai sauce tasted like ketchup. If there is one thing I would order, it is the soup.

This is our favourite restaurant in the Hamilton area and it's not even close. It's as consistent as a restaurant as I've ever been to. They just don't miss. Every meal, every time is a hit. Meals come sizzling on a cast iron skillet. Just amazing. If you have not been, try it! You could not possibly be disappointed. Highly recommended!

My family dined here last night for a birthday dinner and we had the dinner for 4 special. It came with four soups, spring rolls and four dishes that we chose (not set dishes). All dishes were fresh and delicious. Our server was attentive and engaging, and made the experience memorable. We’ll be back again for sure. 👍

We ordered for the first time from banana leaf and sadly it will be our last. Every dish we ordered was beyond BLAND! The breaded chicken was all bread and soggy with little to no meat inside. The noodle dish we ordered was bland and had little to no flavour in it. The beef and vegetables we had barely any beef in it. The ‘ fried rice’ was not fried at all and just had white rice with a mix of what seemed like frozen vegetables with no flavour. Not to mention the shrimp wontons tasted and smelled foul and were inedible! We ended up throwing out this meal and ordering pizza. 120.00 down the drain. I only looked at good reviews before ordering this which was a mistake because if you read the bad ones I definitely can agree and had a similar experience. Don’t waste your time and money here!
