“First time in this cozy little place. Booth seating to one side and a bar on the other. It's got a cool eclectic vibe, very clean. We were promptly sat and a server was there with menus and water and took our drink order. The menu is small but covers all the bases nicely. The chips arrived hot and the salsa made in house while we waited for our food which wasn't long. Nothing pretentious going on here just solid well prepared and fresh. Portions were generous and the prices fair. We've found another little gem! I would have given 4.5 stars simply for the fact that the dusty musty 70s one hit wonder ambient music included the theme from Greatest American Hero. A lot of you will be too young to remember lol.“

“While in Detroit I found this excellent Mexican restaurant. The service, the decor, the music and the food were all top tier. The chilaquiles with a couple fried eggs and beans with a little cotija cheese were screaming! Very authentic like mom use to make lol. The chicharrones were absolutely fire. Crunchy not greasy and the peanut sauce that comes with it is great for dipping. Love this place. Muchas gracias!“

“Came here about a month ago while in a rush to get somewhere . The gentlemen behind the counter was on point and fast . I’ve now been back 5 times within the month and very times I’m greeted with great service and smiles . My food always comes the same , always prompt and fast and every worker over encountered has been amazing . “This was one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. We were served with tortilla chips, salsa, and guacamole immediately, which were freshly made and delicious. This restaurant had the fastest service I’ve ever had as dinner was served in just about 10 minutes. My birria tacos were savory and outstanding, and went great with the refried beans, rice, and cup of consommé. The side of grilled jalapeños was spicy and salty. My guests thought their quesadilla and chimichanga were absolutely delicious. Their tres leches cake was the best tasting moist and fluffy cake I’ve ever had. I ordered entirely in Spanish to the waiter, who was very attentive and friendly. The prices were amazing for the quality and quantity of the food. I highly recommend this new Mexican restaurant!“

“Tried this for the first time with the hubby and overall we are pleased. If you don’t live close then I recommend going on a nice day as it’s outside seating and even the indoor portion is all opened to the outside so rather chilli . Fish tacos were a bit spicy for our liking but all it was good and I would go again.“

“I’ve lived in the area for two years but never got around to trying Red Crown until last night. I really wish I hadn’t waited that long!! Food, drinks and service were all awesome. Even the free chips were outstanding. I got the mushroom, vegan chorizo and chicken tacos. Mushroom and chicken were amazing. Vegan chorizo needed a little bit of extra flavor but still very good. Horchata was delicious. Got a veggie quesadilla to go and it was so good heated up this morning. I can’t wait to go back!“
