We had a wonderful family dinner at Amal Toronto and everything exceeded our expectations. We started with the mixed appetizer plate (hummus, labneh, and muhammara) served with freshly made pita bread—everything was delicious, but the muhammara was by far the best I’ve ever had. The ambiance was beautiful, but unfortunately the food did not live up to the price for me.

They allow online reservations at 2:30 PM; however, since they prepare for dinner service, last call is at 2:45 PM. This gives very little time to look at the menu and place an order, and we felt rushed. I don’t think reservations should be offered so close to last call.
