What a quaint dinner spot. Our server was great to describe all the menu items as some of them you can’t really tell what it’s like by the name. Very comfortable and lovely seating. The latke with the shrimp was really nice. The shrimp were very sweet. The salad was also delicious. We also had the scallops, pasta and swordfish amongst the 3 of us and it was all wonderful. Really enjoyed the dinner with my friends here! Was also a great volume to chat and catch up and wasn’t yelling over music.

Such a lovely French restaurant. We really enjoyed every bite of dishes. This restaurant was recommended by a friend who has lived in Toronto for a long time. Reservation required. A cute restaurant the size of a house. The menu changes, so it's sure to be fun no matter how many times you come. It's expensive, but every dish is carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and satisfying. Even if you read the menu, you can hardly understand it, but if you ask the server, he will politely explain it to you.Tete de porc $12 Mini pork croquettesChittara $40 Pasta with plenty of seafoodPoulet $45 Roast chicken and fried chickpeas(Early April, 2024)

The food was great. I need to be clear on that. I ordered a fish entree and it was absolutely five star. But there was an issue.I was seated at the bar, near the entrance to the kitchen. I stopped counting after the fifth time they bumped into me. Even when I moved my stool in close to the bar, the bumpings continued. Morale did not improve. Eventually I had them pack up my fish to go. It was that bad.I have to say, that had I been seated pretty much anywhere else, I expect Dreyfus would have been a wonderful experience.

A Culinary Delight - Tasting Menu Steals the ShowWe were thoroughly impressed by our experience. From the ambiance to the service, everything was impeccable, but the true star of the show was their exceptional tasting menu. The chef's culinary skills shone through each carefully crafted dish, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. Every course surprised and delighted our taste buds, leaving us eager to sample the next gastronomic creation. The presentation of each dish was both visually stunning and tastefully restrained, allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves. Each course arrived at a well-timed pace, giving us ample opportunity to savor and discuss the merits of each offering. In conclusion, our experience was nothing short of remarkable, largely due to their outstanding service. Highly recommend!

Beautiful intimate setting and atmosphere, with good and technically well done French inspired food (however, with no standout or "wow" dishes or bites). Menu changes often though, so another visit may lead to different results. Service was good and friendly, with detailed explanation of the dishes.

Good, not great. The food is standard French fare without much flare or anything beyond ordinary. The dishes were good, not great. Nothing really made you WOW and for the price tag you could have cheaper and better

Had a lovely date night here with my partner. We spontaneously booked a reservation at 5:30pm, which was actually a lovely time to go(our food came quickly, was delicious, and service was great). The menu changes often, which keeps things interesting.

My friend and I dined at Dreyfus on a Saturday evening and we both had such a great experience. The ambiance is immaculate! Definitely reminded me of the restaurants I used to visit while I was working in Montreal. The tables are a little close together, making it difficult to enter and exit the table if you’re sitting on the bench. I feel everyone should be vigilant and ensure they do not make contact with the candle or accidentally knock over glasses, which happened to me. A lady who was exiting knocked my filled glass all over my cellphone and my lap. The staff quickly cleaned up the area and apologized for the lady who didn’t even acknowledge what she did. Regardless, our time there was amazing. The service was very good, the waitstaff are very knowledgeable about the menu and are attentive. The food was delicious, probably now one of my favourite restaurants in the city. Dreyfus came strongly recommended by my cousin, which I will need to thank him for since this dining experience was perfect. I’m definitely going to return.Vegetarian options: You will definitely find vegetarian items on the menu, but the menu does change every couple of days or so.Parking: Depending on the time you park, parking is free after 9pm. Street parking on Spadina and harbord.Kid-friendliness: I would say no.Wheelchair accessibility: Washroom is not wheelchair accessible and the restaurant is very small, would be very difficult or near impossible to comfortably maneuver a wheelchair. There is also no ramp into the restaurant.

Great menu with a good variety of choices, incredible service as well. Personally I thought the pappardelle was just way too salty but could have been a one off and a few other dishes were slightly off the mark (raw mushrooms with an soft boiled egg, overpowering cocktail sauce for brown butter scallops), cod fritters were

Food was amazing, but I didn't appreciate being rushed out of there 1h and 20min after sitting down. We arrived exactly on time for our reservation. For that kind of price I would have enjoyed at least finishing my wine.
