Gabbys Danforth.... Rude staff and an even more rude owner... don't bother complaining about anything because you're just going to get cussed at... absolutely appalling behavior... the usual crowd are loud obnoxious and seriously over their limits. I've witnessed tables and chairs falling all over the place on many occasions because people are way too intoxicated to think. The owner acts like he's untouchable and says things like " you're in a bar what do you expect " . I expect...read full review
I came to this place today because I wanted to try something new, I haven't had chicken wings in a while, it's across the street from the TIFF Lightbox, and the closest place from the Lightbox with a TouchTunes machine. Now, I liked their mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce and I love the medium chicken wings. The dessert I had being the chocolate lava cake with ice cream and chocolate sauce was good too. Gabby's is a lively bar with a friendly waitress and good service. The atmosphere is pleasant, with music played at an appropriate volume. The menu offers standard pub fare, including wings, burgers, fish and chips, and pizzas. The seating options include high tables with street views and more intimate banquettes, providing a comfortable environment. The bar area is a good spot to get served, and the drinks are reasonably priced and poured well. The food is generally good, with popular items like wings and fries, although some reviews mention that the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich has become less generous with toppings over the years. The place is a great local spot for a simple pub lunch or drinks, especially during happy hour and wing night on Mondays and Wednesdays. While the bathrooms could be cleaner, the bar remains a friendly and welcoming place. However, it is not wheelchair accessible.
