As a person growing up in Asia, I could say this is one of the best Japanese restro I have tried in Canada. I ordered a pork belly don, which costs $17. With a very decent interior design, the don gave me nostalgia. Of course, the mayo makes it a bit Westernized, but I won’t complain because at least they did not overdo it. The sauce for the pork gave layers of tastes. The combination of soy sauce, mirin and cooking sake was perfect.

Any place that makes me look at the menu on my own phone automatically loses a star. I'm old and I abhors looking at things on my phone.

Brussels sprouts and corn were a perfect combination of sweet and salty. Amazing!

Signature tartare dish was okay, I wouldn't order again to much avocado for me. Wife loved it.

Signature fish two ways was amazing. I may go back later this week just for that. Or just to order...
It might be one of the 'best' or authentic Japanese restaurants in town already. Been there a few times.

Most dishes are fine - but 'urchin' creamy udon tastes bland, neither urchiny nor creamy (I agree with another review regarding the bland 'urchin sauce' in 'urchin' bibimbap).

Also if you're substituting any type of uni in a sashimi don (e.g. uni and salmon roe don), better tell your customers...
