Delicious sushi and sashimi! Great value and the food is really nicely prepared. Cozy atmosphere, plus a nice beer and sake collection. This is becoming a regular place for me!
I have been to a couple of Japanese restaurants on Bloor st. but Kokoro sushi house is best place to get sushi around U of T by far. I tried CRAB DAY ROLL, DYNAMITE ROLL, and RAINBOW DRAGON ROLL with my wife. The food was FRESH and tasted EXELLENT. Portion sizes were generous. The staff was friendly and prices were decent as well. I would recommend to my friends and definately come back for other dishes.

The menu has lots of selection of dishes and I chose to try chirashi(15 piece sashimi and rice) for dinner. It was my first time trying chirashi dish in Canada since I left Japan. I paired with my favourite sake, Hakutsuru Junmai Ginjo. I tasted flavor of fresh sashimi, not fishy taste. Price was reasonable and service was great. I recently went to other Japanese restaurants near by but Kokoro Sushi House is my favourite one. I can't wait to come back again.

Garden in the rear is ideal for fresh air dining and umbrellas to shade from the sun. Sushi is expertly prepared with a lot of attention to fine details, light aburi scorching, and just the right amount of rice allowing the seafood to shine. See photos. Fundamentals like the miso soup was bold, the salad crunchy, and the chirashi was expertly presented - you can hide behind fancy drizzles and complex rolls here, it's all up front and they measured up. Also noteworthy was the ice cream wrapped in mochi and served on toothpicks. I liked it so much I've gone back again!
This food is high quality and great taste absolutely loved it.

Super cozy atmosphere here, I could sit here for hours. I always order the salmon teriyaki when I come - the salmon was perfectly cooked and served with a generous amount of teriyaki sauce which was delicious.
Additional plus points for the service here. Our server is always super kind and helpful, and not to mention, fast!
Definitely recommend :)

So happy there is another sushi restaurant in town! We ordered take out and the entire process was great. When I arrived around the time it was expected to be ready, I had to wait a little bit longer - but it’s to be expected since they are still new (only 4 days opened at that time). Overall, the food was very fresh and yummy! Will definitely be back soon! Thank you!

Quiet, cozy spot with a lot of cute decorations. The restaurant isn’t big but it had a great atmosphere. We were a party of 5 and were seated comfortably in the back.
I got the chirashi don while others in my party got assorted rolls and combos. We had the agedashi tofu, edamame and takoyaki as appetizers. Not only was the sushi fresh and sliced generous, but it was also beautifully presented. It came to about $200 overall for all of us and I would highly recommend this restaurant for a quiet night out.

Kokoro’s comforting cuisine will 4ever fulfill that feeling of fullness. Back with the Black Dragon, their take is clearly a cut above the average roll. Neatly constructed with perfectly cooked rice that holds its shape nicely, seasoned with a restrained sweet and sour rice vinegar marinade. The rice layer isn’t overly thick, allowing the classic fillings of a dynamite roll to come through clearly. It’s topped with unagi that’s flavourful - although I wish there was more of it - and sesame seeds for a lift of umami and fragrance. The fresh salmon has a tender bite and fatty mouthfeel, making for a clean and satisfying sashimi experience.
