Mandy's Ossington Reviews
I got the wild sage bowl at Mandy's on Ossington in Toronto. Definitely didn't look like the beautiful pics on their website. Mine was mostly rice. The rice was hard and tasted old, cold, and dry. There was hardly a sliver of kale in sight. I eat it because I was shy to complain and hungry. I wish I hadn't. I was sick all afternoon. I gave the one star because the dressing was good. This whole experience cost almost 20 bucks. Ugh.
First time and staff were great

Mandy's Ossington is a cute restaurant with a limited number of seats, offering a variety of salads made with fresh ingredients. The portions are large and keep customers full for a long time. The Cobb salad is particularly praised for its freshness and slight sweetness, while the protein bowl is flavorful but can be a bit salty and under-dressed. The bowls are well-sized with a variety of fresh ingredients, making them a great hot summer day meal. Prices are on the higher end, around $20 for a salad, and some customers feel they could be cheaper or that takeout portions are smaller and need larger containers. The restaurant uses canola oil for dressings, which some find surprising for a gourmet salad. The decor is nice, and the restaurant is clean and well-lit, with a charming patio that is shaded. Customers can order ahead, but there may be a wait of 10-15 minutes if ordering on the spot. There is merchandise for sale, and drinks like specialty sodas cost around $4-5, or water is available free of charge. Overall, it is a solid healthy food option in the area, especially appreciated on hot days.
