We were in the area for a concert at the Opera House, so we figured we'd grab a bite before the show. We were big fans of Prohibition's Eglinton location before it closed down, so it made sense that we wanted to check out the brand's original location. We showed up around 6:00 and the place was quite full. There were no tables to be had, so we snagged a spot at the bar. It happened to be happy hour, so I grabbed myself a pint for six bucks. This is one of my favourite spots in the city. You can usually find a spot at the bar even when it’s busy. I really like their steak frites. The service is always good. It’s a fun casual spot to hangout.Recently went for breakfast. I had the salmon Benny. The eggs were cooked perfectly with a nice runny inside.Good coffee too.I don’t love their nachos. I had them and I found the cheese was too far cooked.

Fabulous neighbourhood bar with a very lively environment and friendly staff. Got the lobster Benny and pancakes for brunch. The lobster Benny was a bit too salty but the pancakes with sausage & bacon was very on point. Both dishes were huge and kept me full for the entire day. Most definitely worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood.
