The bar tender gave me a full sugar coke when I asked for diet. Couldn’t tell at first because it’s so watered down, but it’s sticky. I paid $11 for this too. 😷
Supermarket is one of my favourite spots to visit. They have some incredible live music nights. Angelina is an incredible host and the drinks are always yum. If you’re in or around Kensington, be sure to check out if Supermarket has live music going on or just head over for some drinks and you won’t regret it.
Had a great time! Awesome vibes and the bartender Angelina was friendly and helpful. 10/10 experience

10 out 10 Service
Great place for party and fresh poutine
Great service and poutine
I played at Supermarket a few months ago for NXNE 2025. Very cool spot, and the staff being very friendly and easy to work with was a huge plus. But, I would like to draw your attention to the real star of the show: the Butter Chicken Poutine. After a long and sweaty set, I decided to stop up at the bar for some poutine. Upon the bartender’s recommendation, I opted for the Butter Chicken style. As it was being prepared, the aroma circulated the room, preparing my taste buds for the unassuming flavor weapon that I was about to experience. Decadent, impeccably flavorful, and delightfully satiating, the Butter Chicken Poutine changed my brain chemistry. I think about it often. I will be back for more. I love you.
They hosted a graduation showcase of performances by recent college graduates.
There was food and beverages and proprietary beers. Friendly service.

Great music but venue is too hot, requires more ventilation
I attended the Avicii tribute night -
Good music, but that’s where the positives end. Overcrowded, no ventilation, unbearably hot, and the air was unpleasant. Drinks were spilled and left on the floor, making it slippery and unsafe. One particularly rude staff member with long curly hair made the experience worse. Definitely not coming back.
Paid for a Fleetwood Mac tribute night that was advertised as 8pm till “late”. However, at 11:00pm, the music suddenly changed to 2010s party music. We ask when the 70s music was coming back, and they said that it wasn’t, and that 11:00pm IS late. The music was great while it was playing, but I feel cheated out of my money by a falsely advertised event.
My friends and I went to Supermarket Bar and Variety for their Chappell Roan night. They played all the OGs and showcased local drag talent. The seating was comfortable, there was tons of space for dancing in front of the stage, and the food/drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. We’ll be back!
It’s a very good super market
