Swiss Chalet Reviews
Best SC! Great service, good came out so fast.
First time eating at this location and I can confidently say that this was the best experience I’ve ever had at a Swiss Chalet. It was a bit tricky to find the door (as the usual path from 700 University was locked for the weekend) but we eventually found it after walking a few steps down from University Ave, west side. Swiss Chalet offers a cozy and clean environment with delicious food, especially the quarter chicken dinner. The rotisserie chicken is juicy and tender, providing a real chicken taste without being overly salty. The staff is friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. However, the restaurant has inconsistent portion sizes for takeout orders, and some dishes may not meet expectations in terms of quality. Prices are considered high for the value provided, with limited options for those seeking more cost-efficient meals. Despite some shortcomings, Swiss Chalet remains a popular choice, as it is a Canadian staple with few locations left in the city. The restaurant delivers consistently during the festive season, and the chicken is described as superb by loyal customers.
