Honestly, this place really disappointed us. We ordered a few different dishes hoping at least one would be memorable, but none of them tasted good. For a restaurant that calls itself fine dining, the food felt really plain and not worth the price.
The service didn’t help either. The server put the cloth napkins on our legs in a clumsy way, which just felt awkward instead of classy. It’s a small thing, but it really stood out because you expect a bit more care in a fine dining setting.
Overall, the whole experience fell flat both the food and the service. Definitely not a place I’d go back to.

I’ve recently been to The Chase a couple of times for different occasions, and each visit was wonderful. All of the dishes were delicious, and our server, Mavel, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout. She made the experience feel special both times and ensured everything was just right.
One of the evenings we sat inside and it was a bit difficult to hear, but it might have been a one-off with large and loud table in the room.

Probably the best rooftop patio in the financial district / downtown core. They are known for it. Perfect on a summer night to enjoy breeze and the lights coming from the nearby office towers. Food is on the expensive side, but expected given the location and patio. Lots of seafood options on the menu and everything was delicious. Banana cream pie was probably the best I’ve ever had.

Food was overall good and service was okay. We went for dinner over weekdays and the staff was kinda too busy to pay attention to my table. Waiting for service was a bit longer than usual.
Food wise, for starters, flatbread was good, classic Italian bread you see in Toronto, fresh and delicious. Carb and avocado was okay, base was simple with olive oil, a nice choice. (They could have chooses better avocados).
For mains, veal chops were really good, rich in taste, meat itself was marinated well so pretty tasty, also the meat was tender. Halibut was disappointing though, tasteless and dry. Side asparagus were tasty and the sauce ruined the dish honestly. Pepper and kinda oily sauce made it salty and the taste became too complex.
View was good. A nice spot to go at downtown.

Still some of the best service in the city. Shoutout to Brendan and the team.

Great food and atmosphere. Wish I took more photos of the food we got. It’s kinda on the rooftop. You can sit outdoor. Service is excellent!

Disappointing first experience. I wanted to celebrate a new job with my partner and we decided on getting a seafood tower somewhere. I thought Chase restaurant would be a good place for it and we hadn’t been here before so decided to try it. Unfortunately it was disappointing pretty much from start to finish. When I made the reservation, I asked for a nice table “if possible” since it was our first time there, and I was told they could do it because it “wasn’t busy” that night. When we got there and got seated there was nothing nice about our table. I don’t really fault this so much, whatever, if that’s what they had at the time, but it added to the overall bad experience. We ordered the burrata and caviar to start and had never had caviar before so was super excited to try it and it was served with herbed focaccia (didn’t say this on the menu). The herbs were so overpowering, it really didn’t make sense to me that this was supposed to go with caviar. I enjoyed the caviar and burrata but maybe not with herbed focaccia next time. Then we ordered the seafood tower and while the rest of the seafood was fresh, my first bite was a scallop that was definitely not fresh so ruined the whole experience at this point. The fatty tuna (otoro) was covered in some heavy cream sauce which was confusing because fatty tuna is already rich and flavorful, I thought the sauce ruined it. The lobster was stated on the menu as a “whole maritime lobster” but it only had the claw and tail. We also had to ask for butter for it which I thought was pretty standard to go with lobster no? The rest of the seafood was good but too many things are just wrong with this platter, I wouldn’t order it here again. The Chablis was good, service was professional but kind of cold, overall I wouldn’t go back here.
