Came here with my partner and close friends of ours to celebrate my birthday, we had a great time to say the least! The waitstaff and management were extremely attentive, they did frequent check-ins to ask how our food was or if there was anything else we needed. The waitstaff also did great with answering any questions we had about the menu and asked if we had any dietary restrictions. Ambiance, felt like a modern fine dining experience to us that didn't break the bank and we loved the overall decor and lighting. They had surprised me with a candle on my dessert, I was not expecting that because I didn't specifically include in my reso that we were celebrating a birthday, just a special occasion so I don't know how they pulled that off but it was a very nice surprise. In terms of food, everything arrived warm, the focaccia was a great shareable option. We also liked the crab avocado appetizer it was fresh and light. We also decided to try the fried cauliflower appetizer but it wasn't a favourite of ours because the cauliflower were a little soggy, though this could have been because of the sauce that was drizzled on top. Our friend had the veal and they said it was super tender, it looked really good so will have to try that next time we come back. My partner had the miso cod which he found to be very flavourful. I had the grilled branzino, which was delicate tasting. I wished the Branzino was as savoury as the Miso cod but it was still tasty overall. The desserts were also really good, our friends chose the chocoloate cake and my partner and I shared the sticky toffee pudding. For drinks, we tried the framboise and the espresso martini. Both drinks were delicious, the framboise was especially refreshing. We didn't see a whisky on their drinks menu which was something my partner was looking for but overall a 10/10 dining experience, and I would recommend The Chase to others. Thanks again especially to the waitstaff for making our night so memorable!

Came with another couple for dinner. They had been at this restaurant before and had recommended it to us. We noted that it was really quite loud and we did have some difficulty in maintaining conversation amongst the four of us. We had an attentive but not obsequious waiter. Three of us had the branzino and one had the halibut. The fish dishes were excellent.
The side dishes of Brussel sprouts and cauliflower were surprisingly good. After such an exceptional main course, we decided to try dessert and ordered the Banana toffee creampie. This was quite a disappointment. There was very little Banana flavour and it basically just tasted sweet. We certainly recommend the branzino and the halibut. And as for dessert, we recommend just skipping it.

A true fine dining gem in downtown Toronto! ✨

The Chase delivers an upscale culinary experience that perfectly matches its elegant and airy ambiance. From the moment you walk in, the setting impresses — think grand chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling windows, and plush seating with a view.

We started with a few beautifully plated appetizers: the crispy Brussels sprouts were full of flavor, and the tempura-style rings with pomegranate added a playful, refreshing touch.

For mains, The swordfish entrée was hearty and paired with a fresh lentil and veggie medley that added texture and warmth.

Dessert was a showstopper. The chocolate layered cake with gold flakes and ice cream was rich yet balanced — every element on the plate was purposeful and delicious. The baked Alaska added a dramatic finish with its toasted meringue and tangy base.

Service was attentive, pacing was perfect, and cocktails were top-tier. If you’re celebrating or just want a refined evening out, The Chase is worth every dollar.

John was great, gave good recommendations and the half price bubbly and oysters on friday are well worth the visit !

The Chase has intrigued us for a while now, since initially noticing it while out walking. It's a rooftop restaurant with great views and a very inviting appearance even from street level. We finally had a chance to stop in, and we fell in love. We had an appetizer to share and multiple cocktails each, and we absolutely loved everything. We can't wait to go back for dinner and explore more of their menu and drinks. Their espresso martini was fabulous and 100% the best I have ever had.

The steak was the best I've ever had in Toronto.

Amazing food and service. I had the branzino.

Beautiful restaurant with beautiful bar. The desserts were unreal. The food is pricy but expectedly given the quality and location. 5s all around.

Food was good, albeit slow for service on a Saturday night. Mains coming out at 10 pm for an 8 pm reservation.

Only major turnoff was $33 and $44 8 ounce wines when asked for a pairing. I’m out a lot and have no problem spending $ but if a pairing is requested - I’d typically expect a more and less expensive option and or advising the price vs sticker shock when bill arrives. Beware!

This an excellent bar and restaurant! I was here for a special event and both the cocktails and food was very well done. The inside and outside sections are pretty.

One of the best restaurant experiences in TO in our opinion! Fantastic cocktails and the fare was over the top in quality and taste. Experiencially Chase is a ten out of ten.

Something has changed at our favourite restaurant in the city. It appears to be under new ownership and the menu has changed and the service level has dropped slightly. Hopefully this was a one-time event that is not indicative of the future of The Chase.
