The Owl on Bloor Reviews
The food was mediocre at best. The Korean deep-fried chicken was disappointing and looked unappetizing. The service was very poor—the server was rude and repeatedly tried to take our menu even after we explained that we were waiting for a friend. When we asked for an extra spoon, she raised her voice and appeared grumpy and unprofessional. She may have been irritated due to another loud group in the restaurant, but that should not affect how other guests are treated.

The Owl on Bloor offers delicious food with generous portions and friendly service. Customers praise the beef soup with soft tofu for its spiciness and accommodating staff, though some note the tofu soup may not always taste fresh. The pork bone soup is amazing, with rich, savory broth and perfectly seasoned flavor, while the beef bulgogi and Jaeyuk (spicy pork on a sizzling plate) are highly recommended dishes, with flavorful and tender meat. The kimchi is described as spicy and tasty, and the kimchi fried rice is also a favorite. Many customers highlight the quality and portion size of the dishes, especially the kimchi and pork soup, which are considered especially delicious. The restaurant is on the second floor with slippery steps, which might limit accessibility, but the quick and friendly service, along with good side dishes, makes it a great spot for Korean food lovers. Some mention that prices are a bit higher but justified by the large portions and satisfying meals. Overall, The Owl on Bloor remains a popular choice for authentic and comforting Korean cuisine.
