The case of the Pancake Scone! I hope it was a baking error. The scone bought yesterday and presented to me by my friend was a bombe. Should have been savory, was bland. Should have had soft crumb structure, couldn’t bite it. Should have been a puff, was a tough discus. Hope it’s not the norm and that my friend paid for a baking bombe. Signed fellow culinary school grad!!
