I would very much like to dine-in here but I already fell in love with this spot when my workplace catered from here for our training day. I ordered their "vege wrap" which consisted of grilled eggplant, zucchini, red peppers, red onions, asiago cheese, spinach, and pesto mayo. It was perfectly warm and tasty! All the flavors came together so well. For my side, I got their Caesar salad. I wish it came with more dressing but it was just enough.

I can confidently say Valens is one of my favorite spots for a comfortable cozy dinner. I have been here for dates, reunions, catchups with colleagues, my birthday celebration and for all these different situations it’s been a crowd pleaser too.The variety of dishes has always been a winning point. I’ve tried their pastas (Tetrazzini, Vodka, and Asiago) to their mains (Apple Chicken, Lamb Rack) to their sandwiches and all their tastes and portions have consistently left me feeling satisfied and craving the next return to try something else.Service has also consistently been great and reliable.

Came here with a couple of my friends during dinnertime on a Sunday. The restaurant was a bit small but all the tables were seated with people. One of my friends ordered the Mozzarella cheese sticks. We were surprised and quite disappointed with the portion of the Mozzarella cheese sticks compared to the amount of vegetables that was served. We all had high expectations for this appetizer because of the price. However, my friend did like the fact that the Mozzarella cheese sticks were filled with cheese. I ordered the Pesto (pasta). The texture of the pasta fitted to my taste as it wasn't overcooked or undercooked. However, the portion did not match the price. In comparison with other restaurants, I typically feel full after eating a plate of pasta but at this restaurant, I only felt partially full.

I recently dined at Valens Restaurant, and while the food was commendable, especially the lamb shank which I particularly enjoyed, our overall experience was marred by an unfortunate incident. Upon making our reservation over the phone, I specifically inquired if we could bring our own birthday cake to celebrate a special occasion with my friend. I was assured by a male voice that it would be fine. However, upon our arrival and presenting our cake, we were informed by our server that it was not permitted.Thankfully, the server was kind enough to consult with the management on our behalf, but the response from the boss was incredibly disappointing. His demeanor was not only unprofessional but also confrontational, as he loudly reprimanded the server in our presence, making us feel quite uncomfortable. Despite us promptly putting the cake away upon learning of the misunderstanding, the boss continued to express his displeasure, unnecessarily prolonging the situation and impacting our departure.I want to highlight that the server maintained a commendable level of professionalism and kindness throughout this ordeal, and it is clear that my critique is directed solely at the management's handling of the situation. This behavior significantly detracted from our dining experience and overshadowed what should have been a joyful birthday celebration. It's disheartening to leave a review like this, but I believe it's important for potential patrons to be aware of our experience.

Today we tried truffle and seafood risottos. It was really delicious and I want to notice that food was extra fresh. Girl waitress was very kind and caring, advised us good wines, thanks her for that. Lava cake also was fantastic.Atmosphere was cozy but a little bit cold near the window (but it was our choice ?). Pleasantly recommend to visit this place .

So I went out for dinner today at valens, and my meal was outstanding. Very yummy flavors and amazing service. The server with half her head shaved made us feel so welcome. She was so kind and attentive, the food was amazing so I will definitely be back. Hats off to you, Valens, for a superior performance.

Recently dined in to try their winterlicious menu. Staff was very attentive and kind. Little things like the waitress noticing how much water my husband was drinking and switching his glass to a bigger one were appreciated. For $35, there are really no complaints. Mussels were a tad salty but still really good, and the lamb was super tender and tasty. The crème brûlée was HUGE and yummy. We left satisfied and full, and will definitely be back again!

Family reservation was at 12 noon (Winterlicious2024). Everything seems to be rushed. My sis in law and I came 5 mins after (but the rest of our party already sitting waiting for us) From the time we were sitted and the time our order came is only 5 mins. We haven't finished our first course, but they are already serving the 2nd course and soon after the dessert. A supposed to be a nice lunch was ended less than 45 mins. The main course is not even hot enough to eat. We felt so rushed to leave even though there's no lineup outside.We used to love this place, but I don't think we're coming back.Very poor service.

Server was amazing, I don't know how she did it. She gets 10 stars. ONE person was taking care of a packed restaurant and doing absolutely everything - seating people, making/serving drinks, taking orders, running food, cashing out. I would have had quietly put down my pen and slipped out the door forever. My 1 star for service is directed to the restaurant owners who don't ensure their staff aren't taking on the stress of an ER nurse. I don't need the royal treatment, but we shouldn't wait 30 minutes just to order (again, not server's fault) because they don't want to pay staff or get on the floor themselves.
