The service is excellent and waitstaff are very good and very friendly. Some of the food items though are not that great. I had the nachos one time, and wanted to order them with ground beef instead of chicken. When I got it, it was chunks of steak, not ground beef. If they had told me they didn't have ground beef I would have ordered something else. I also asked that they take out the jalapenos as I cannot eat them. Based on the reviews, Village Idiot Pub offers excellent service with great attention to detail. The servers are amazing, very polite, professional, and kind, making the experience spectacular. The food is outstanding, hot, and delicious. Specific meals mentioned include the deep fried Brie with blueberry compote, which was delicious and served with pieces of soft pretzel. The Poutine, not the classic but pulled pork, was a good start to a break in Toronto. The Idiot Burger was juicy, tender, and made to perfection. The chicken strips were moist and soft on the inside and perfect and crispy on the outside. The BELT wrap was good, had a nice flavour, and was toasted perfectly and warm, served with crispy fries. It is a good place to grab a few beers after work with plenty of beer options. The atmosphere is amazing with perfect lighting, dim but visible, and calming music. It is a very buzzing pub, totally impressive with friendly service.
