“I came here a week ago for dessert at around 9PM—11PM with a bunch of friends. The portions were fulfilling and were enough to share between two people. Shaved ice was delicious, however, when I tried to play the board games they offered it was sticky and old. Other than the board games, my overtime here was great!“

“So far, one of the best Taiwanese beef noodle soup I’ve ate in Canada was here. Simple atmosphere family owned restaurant for many years in Markham. Basically, they are famous of their handmade noodles, beef noodles soup, dumpling and stinky tofu. I love their handmade noodles…..so thick and chewy. Always generous topping of tendon beef and the price is affordable. Authentic Taiwanese tofu looks so clean and clear…..once bite, you instantly forget how stinky it was? Inside is juicy and soft, with their heavenly sauce and spicy chilli sauce dippin….walao!!that’s all you know. Try it!“

“*Reviewing as a picky bubble tea drinker*
Tried the watermelon slush that was recommended by another review and can confirm it is freshly blended, refreshing and delicious. Unexpectedly, pearls are included too! They're fresh, very basic pearls (not much flavour that you would expect from top tier bbt places) Excellent deal for $3.50, tax included. Would try other slushes too next time.
龜苓膏 Gui ling gao is $5.00 and appears to be house made. Also tasty!
Thinking about getting the rose green tea to-go as I slurp my watermelon slush. It's another recommended by a different reviewer. Would definitelu come back if I lived around here.“

“I have ordered party trays from Wei's twice now and each time the food has been delicious and fresh. Friendly staff and great communication! Would recommend to anyone craving Taiwanese food.
Vegetarian options: I was able to order a vegetarian sticky rice party tray for a gathering“

“Like the other reviewers, I'd also recommend the fried pork chop on rice (which includes vegetables, tofu and a braised egg).Excellent value and the pork chop is quite tasty, all for $7.25 (plus taxes as of Sep2018).Do note that they sometimes add hot red pepper flakes to the veggies, which you may or may not want to pick out.I'm sticking with the no heat option at this place as the spicy hot option is for me... pretty spicy and hot, especially if I swallow a chilli pepper by accident.“

“Thanks so much Cowa for providing such excellent service, especially during cold weather. The food always arrived at our front door warm and delicious. It saved us so much time and portion is big for both mom and dad! I compared a few confinement food companies in GTA and at the end decided to go with Cowa because;(1) it has a central commercial kitchen with permit from the city instead of home kitchen(2) it has a set pre determined menu(3) it allows me use my own glass boxes(4) the service is excellent (thanks to Brandon) and provide lots of flexibility when I wanted to switch the menu a bit.Last but not least, we liked it so much and we ordered two months! Thanks again Cowa!“

“I love the shaved ice dessert here, very refreshing with a lot of toppings with different texture. The menu is very extensive with hot and cold dessert, cake and waffle and shaved ice desserts or milk tea. The place is clean and service is reasonable, you order at the cashier and pay there. They open late so it's good for a night out
We got the the taro ball max and the jimbo ube milk shaved ice, which costed about 12-16. Very yummy and not too sweet. The taro balls are definitely the best.
Parking: street parking available“

“This place is always bustling with activity. Not uncommon to see a lineup of people infront of this tiny take out store
They offer a bento box like meal where you choose your main protein ontop of a bread of rice and then your choice of three sides
They are well known for their Taiwanese Popcorn chicken (available in the bento box style mentioned above or on it's own "snack size"
Asides from this, you gotta try their preboxed cold noodles! So simple (noodles, grated veggies and egg) but it's their secret sauce that makes this meal pop!
Give them a try!“

“I like this is peak crispy and super juicy. Not slimey like other places but actually juicy it was rlly good. I only paid 12$ cuz I got a special for my meal. And he gave me a water bottle when I asked for a water cup which is good customer service. Way better than common chicken chains IMO.“

“Very good pricing for the amount of food you get if choosing the bento box options. There’s a wide enough variety of protein or veggies to choose from. Flavour wise, not much can be said compared to the Chinese food in Markham and Richmond Hill but pricing wise, it is quite economical to have a quick lunch here.
They used to have bigger portions, years back, but it’s quite understandable that they had to reduce portion quantities due to inflation. The quality of food has gone down though, compared to pre Covid time. Maybe the cook is different now.
It’s not the cleanest restaurant around. The interiors look worn down and the place is rather dark. The washrooms are not clean so if you can overlook all this and want to go for cheap food, efficient service, then this is the place.“

“Lots of food options, from meals to snacks to drinks. It’s a takeout spot, and staff speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. I ordered chicken skewers and they cooked it fresh, delicious with a little spice in the flavour! Would go again.
Parking: Part of the King Square plaza.“

“Great value, amazing service and decent vibe! We just came here for tea after dinner. We ordered two different kind of tea as per the recommendations from the very friendly servers. Both tea were very tasty! Gonna go back again tonight for a simple team building! Wondering that what the reactions of our Canadian teammates will be!!! lol“

“We ordered the dail special which for today was Hainan chicken. It was very good and they give you a chicken leg quarter with pickeld shredded veggies, small cucumber and sauces sweet and sour as well as ginger oil. The amount of chicken and rice was very good. I really enjoyed the food.I also like the modern interior design of the place, it is relatively clean and enough tables for the amount of customers.Service was typical but adding an egg to my order delayed it by at least by more than 5 minutes. Nased on this I rate this as 4.5 out of 5 stars.“

“Tasty pot is the best option for when you're feeling hot pot, but you don't want AYCE. The portions are very generous, so you're still getting tons of food for around $20. There are a variety of pots to choose from, each with a different soup base and preloaded with various items like beef, seafood, tofu, veggies, rice cakes etc. The items differ for each pot. My favourites are the Taiwanese pot and the tomato one depending on whether I'm in the mood for something with a kick. The tomato one is very comforting but the Taiwanese one has that sa cha flavour which I love but can be naturally spicy for some. You can actually also adjust the spice level of your soup base when you are ordering. We love coming here all year round, but especially when it gets cold.

“The popcorn chicken on rice is simply fantastic! The chicken pieces were tender and still moist despite being deep-fried. It has the perfect crunchiness to it as well. The Hokkaido milk tea with grass jelly also tasted fabulous! I will highly recommend Ten Ren to anyone I know!“

“Probably one of my favourite places to get dumplings. Time and time again I will come here. Staff are friendly and the food comes out quick.
Parking: Free parking. But difficult to find parking during peak times. More parking located at the back of plaza. Drive pass dumpling king and the adjacent plaza.“

“There is a wide selection of Taiwanese food, desserts, and bubble tea. Our favourite things to order are the lunch set menus which have good value, as it comes with a meal and drink. The popcorn chicken combo came with rice, flavourful and crispy chicken, and some mapo tofu. We also really like the Taiwanese beef noodles which isn’t too spicy, has generous portions of tender beef, and green tea noodles. There is a wide variety of drinks too which have a nice tea flavour, and the tapioca is well made.“
