I ordered a double hamburger without a bun and a Greek salad and it was delicious. The burgers were juicy and perfectly cooked and the salad was fresh and tasty. I’ll definitely be going back!

Service is terrible, it's like he thought my purchase, small fries, wasn't worth his time. I asked for Mayo and was willing to pay if needed. He said I don't have mayo. I'm at a burger place ... The store was empty, he has time. No fork offered, no ketchup offered. I felt like I was a nuisance to him.

Johnny’s North End Burgers has definitely changed over the years, but even with newer ownership, good food and solid value remain. The food is made fresh to order, comes out hot, and portions are generous. The daily special is still cheaper than a mediocre foot-long from Subway. The atmosphere is a shrine to local hockey talent, especially from Whitby and Durham Region, adding local character. The onion ring batter is different from the norm but delicious, and the standard hotdog is also delicious. The gravy is the signature and absolutely fantastic to dip fries in. The poutine and shakes and Greek Salad are great, and the wife loves it. For company lunches, a mix of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and crispy chickens was a huge hit, with toppings delivered on the side. The onion rings and fries were massive and crispy, and the salads were fresh. However, service can be terrible; one customer felt like a nuisance when asking for mayo, and the place has lost a bit of its edge, with cleanliness not quite what it used to be. Despite this, it is recommended for uncomplicated food at a good price.
