“We enjoyed our breakfast on the patio looking at the beautiful view of the bay. The food was delicious and a huge portion. Our server, Kendra was very friendly and attentive. All of the staff were great. I definitely recommend this restaurant.“

“As the name says, this place is truly Top-Notch! It is a remarkably neat and clean motel situated right beside Highway 6, making it incredibly easy to access. The location is perfect, sitting just moments away from downtown Wiarton. Even though the building itself is older, it has been beautifully and thoughtfully renovated.

The rooms are incredibly spacious and exceptionally clean. Our room had two double beds, which easily and comfortably accommodated four people. While the beds themselves felt a bit on the older side, the linens were completely fresh and crisp. The room is fully air-conditioned and comes packed with handy amenities, including a work desk, a TV, a comfortable sofa, a microwave, and a mini-refrigerator. The washroom was also well-stocked with plenty of toiletries and a hair dryer.

Parking is incredibly convenient, with spots located right in front of each individual room. Out back, they have a lovely backyard area with tables and benches that feels just like a cozy, private picnic spot.

One of the absolute highlights of the property is the attached restaurant right next to the check-in desk. They serve incredible, home-cooked style breakfast and lunch from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. I had lunch there and it was absolutely delicious—the portions were generous, and it was completely worth the money.

The absolute standout feature of this place is the warmth and friendliness of the management and staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, especially the owner. Both check-in and check-out were completely smooth and hassle-free.

“We always go to 1858 at Sauble whenever we are up there. Was there yesterday, August 24th, with pal Gerry. Waiter, James noticed Gerry's U.G. Gryphons lanyard right off the bat and gave us a warm welcome as James attends at U.G.

Once at bar, server Sam took our orders. Menu did not specify Creemore Pilsener but I saw it just after she opened a Creemore lager. I had the lager and then ordered a Pilsner.

Much to my surprise, Sam, didn't charge me for the lager as I was thrown off due to menu error. That was very nice of her and the manager who signed off on it.

Gerry enjoyed his spicy caesar. The atmosphere is always friendly and fun and the dill pickle fries are great!!
