This is a great local ramen spot in downtown! The food comes out so fast, it's reasonably priced, and it is so filling!! Hiro js a casual hang out that is popular with the locals. The best thing on the menu is the tonkstu ramen which is fantastic! They give you so much ramen! It's the best on a colder Ashland day. They do have some weird hours. Always double check if they are open because they close between lunch and dinner.

omg!! the best vegan ramen. we got veggie gyoza & the curry and the veggie ramen w/ no egg and add crispy onions, kimchi, and spicy. we devoured it. both ramens had sm flavor and the broth was so creamy. it was small but busy inside. the one waiter was very attentive. Will definitely be back here (:

Delicious. Tiny joint with good service. Vegetarian options are a plus. Highly recommend

Great little spot. Simple clean decor. Lovely and prompt service. A small menu which arrives quick and fresh. Not spectacular taste wise but solid and generous portions. Wonderful value. Meal for two plus 1 beer for under $35

Hiro is one of my favorite places to go on a date with my husband, and it is our favorite place to get take-out from. We always get the tonkotsu ramen, and it has never disappointed us. Thank you for being a reliably amazing restaurant!

Very friendly and professional staff. I don't know the waiter's name but he did an amazing job. He deserves a raise. My son loved the Ramen dish he got and I enjoyed it as well.

Tasty gyoza and seaweed salad! But the tonkotsu ramen was very Americanized and lacking the traditional funky flavors seen in the original Fukuoka style (and bland American eggs rather than the traditional orange yolked flavorful original). Curry chicken rice was sweet and flavorful but bibimbap was not hot enough to create the crispy rice effect normally achieved in this dish. Friendly service though somewhat informal overall given the price point. The environment feels nice but fast casual like a lunch spot with some Japanese folk art adorning the walls.

Amazing food, little seating. Good for casual dinner with small groups. Great place if you are vegetarian/vegan.

We had wonderful bowl of ramen and the server was an absolute joy. He was so kind and joyful. I'd go back just to have a nice waiter.

This place is always busy when I go! Ramen is very good. I usually get the curry Ramen. Reminds me of my days living in Japan.

A delightfully comforting bowl of ramen.Had a lite lunch here with my wife and we were both very pleased.Appetizer: For a starter so we tried their Agedashi tofu. Lightly fried in a rice flour sitting in a tasty sauce. There is a texture journey with the lightly crispy breading, soft tofu, and mochi texture from the sauced breading. It was quite delightful.Entree: Tonkotsu with pork. It’s exactly what we want in a ramen. Excellent broth with black garlic oil. Well flavored, not too salty or heavy. Noodles were perfectly cooked and the pork belly was superb. The only minor issue I had was that the corn tasted obviously canned. The service was very fast, attentive, and polite. If you’re looking for Ramen, this is a great place.
