Enjoyed a Thanksgiving Dinner at this quaint restaurant attached to the hotel we were staying at. They were booked solid, but the hostess was gracious enough to move up our dinner reservation for our requested earlier time. They didn’t offer a traditional Turkey dinner, the ballroom offered that earlier, but the entrees were great. The pumpkin pie was a bit of a miss, but didn’t subtract from a great evening.
I’ve been there several times on special occasions. The third or fourth time I was actually able to meet the executive chef; Franco. I called him, “The Culinary Maestro!”
We ordered the sausage clams, pork belly Brussels sprouts with roasted hazelnuts, pork chops with polenta and kale. Finished with a butter cake.
Will definitely be back again soon to enjoy a special epicurean meal from the Culinary Maestro!!!
The main dishes coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous. But when in Ashland, I head to Lark’s for a phenomenal Caesar salad with grilled chicken. This visit, the dressing was delicious. The small grilled chicken breast, however, was thin and overcooked. Same on our second salad. As far as the crispy brussels sprouts starter, personal preference. Extremely oily.
