“Open the door to be greeted by the scents of Ethiopia. This place was amazing. Wonderful staff, very clean restaurant, and delicious food. The potatoes in the atkilt were firm but buttery to eat. Beef in tibs was very good; slightly chewy but pleasantly so. They offer Habesha beer for those interested. Definitely a wonderful find!“
“Black Star Grill catered our wedding. They created an amazing menu and even delivered to our venue. Due to our covid concerns, they boxed each meal separately. This was very convenient to take home after the wedding. The food was DELICIOUS, even the staff loved the food. Many of our guests got to experience West African food for the first time. “A visit to Portland wouldn’t be complete without a dinner at Marrakesh. Always amazing in every way and tonight was no different. We celebrated a birthday with a delicious, authentic five course meal and wonderful Moroccan red wine while a belly dancer entertained us. So fun. “Randomly found this restaurant when having some beer at the tap room next door, and got some food to take home.The chicken stew and spinach bowl were both excellent, very good flavor and large portions. The veggie samosas were also fantastic, and we really enjoyed them with the house hot sauce. Everything was flavorful and well balanced, but I guess some might find the flavor too strong... We loved it!Our meal was reasonably priced and the staff was helpful. Hope to visit again soon!“
