“I had an amazing experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken thanks to Abdule and Angles. From the moment I walked in, they were welcoming, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was right. They explained the menu clearly, helped with heat level choices, and kept a great attitude even while things were busy. You can tell they take pride in their work and actually care about customers, which is rare these days. The food was great, but their customer service is what really made this visit stand out. Dave’s is lucky to have them — I’ll definitely be back.“

“I have tried quite a few items here but this review of 5 stars is ONLY for their goat biryani which is top of the world. The only other contender, which if you haven’t tried yet you should, is Bombay Biryani in old downtown Hillsboro. Back to Apna, they are super generous with the amount of rice as well as being reasonably priced for the type of meat it is. For some strange reason, their chicken biryani is not as flavorful as their goat biryani since the rice looks very similar to each other. We ordered both and were a bit taken aback at the difference. As for vibe, we prefer to take out as the seating is not something we like. The place is always busy so understand the service could be slow but they do their best. Strongly recommend.“

“It's tucked just behind burger King off of 99 in Tigard. Great people running it and delicious food! They can't put up much advertising they told me because Burger King won't allow it for some reason. I hope they're able to stay afloat and prosper bc it really is a terrific little spot for some great vibes and delicious Mediterranean food prepared fresh on the spot. You guys rock!“

“Awafi is a great place to get freshly made and delicious Mediterranean / Middle Eastern cuisine on the street in downtown. Menu has lots of choices. Usually I order a falafel wrap and every time it tastes so fresh that it’s a real pleasure to eat. Owner is a great guy and runs a wonderful food cart. Try it … you will be glad that you did!“

“We were downtown for the Starlight Parade with the kids and just happened to stumble upon the Midtown Beer Garden — what a lucky find! Tucked into this awesome little food cart pod in the heart of the city was Small Pharaohs, and let me tell you — it completely blew us away.

From the moment we walked up, the team was warm, welcoming, and super friendly, especially with my kids (which as any parent knows, makes a huge difference). We ordered a mix of plates and wraps — the lamb over rice was packed with flavor, and the chicken shawarma was so juicy and tender my kids devoured it without a second thought. The garlic sauce? Next level.

The vibe at Midtown was fun and family-friendly, with great energy from the festival crowd, and Small Pharaohs stood out not just for the food, but the service. It felt like they genuinely cared that we had a great experience — and we really did.

This was one of those unexpected finds that turns into a new favorite. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in downtown Portland. Highly recommend!“

“I come here quite often to eat lunch. I like to get the lamb and rice meal or chicken falafel. I am only able to eat half of the food or i am stuffed. They always have treats made by them for sale and i always grab them. The kids love them since they have 0 sugar added and they use dates! Remember to get the sauces added when asked. Spicy, which is really good and not overly spicy.“

I recently visited Bhai’s Halal Meat Market and was thoroughly impressed! The meat was incredibly fresh, well-cut, and fairly priced. The store was spotless, and the staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to help with custom cuts or cooking tips.

They also carry a great range of spices and essentials, making it a one-stop shop. It’s clear they care about quality and community — I left with everything I needed and a big smile.

“I went out at 2:20 in the morning to get something to eat. I did not expect to eat one of the best meals I’ve had in a while at that price range. The store owner was very nice and gave me a few recommendations for what to eat and he made an excellent choice because the food was amazing. The environment around the outside of the store was a little rough but that was not the store owners fault and shouldn’t take away from the quality of the food. Overall a great place to eat, would recommend for a night munch.“

The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The service was outstanding too — friendly, quick, and welcoming. Even though it’s a food truck, the setup and vibe made it feel like a great place to enjoy a relaxed lunch.

“One of my favorites in Metro area since I moved here. Very professional and friendly people. I really do like their foods. Had a great experience ! They have delicious gyros (I love their lamb gyro). The tabouli is amazing as well! Also they have delicious Hummus that I love. They have a pretty extensive menu of different Indian foods, including a lot of options available to eat right after purchase as well as items that they make fresh after you order. They offer different types of meats and sauces, and all that I've tried so far have great flavor. Their butter chicken is definitely a favorite from a lot of people who order. It is a pricier option than other restaurants around it, but not by much, and well worth it. Service is really nice and the employees take the time to remember you if you're a repeat customer.
