Honestly, I don’t get the hype. $20/person gets you oil soaked fish and a verbal assault. The guy could not be more bothered we were there buying his food. No fork, no extra anything, long wait, disgustingly dirty interior kitchen and food that makes you feel sick. Avoid eating here.

Everything I was told was correct. Best fish & chips ever.
What a diamond in the park. Super large pieces of fish are battered and fried on the spot. Awesome place to eat

Man.. best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Don’t know what you want, ask and he’ll steer you in the right direction. Also.. loved the the look of his store front.

The Haddock was fresh and yummy, as were the chips. The exterior had a nice crunch. It was too greasy though. Less greasy and a slight adjustment to the batter flavor would make this a delicious meal.

Everyone always talks about the Fish&Chips pod in Vancouver. I’ve tried it. It doesn’t come close to comparing to the Frying Scotsman. The breading on the Cod or Halibut is amazing! Perfectly crispy on the exterior yet, the meat still tender and moist. Priced a bit higher but you get what you pay for. As the portions are quite large. He’s not one for conversation but cordial. We have eaten there over a dozen times and the fish and chips are on point Every. Single. Time. A must if at BGs.

Outstanding fish and chips! Some of the best I have ever had! I got the halibut and it was absolutely worth it. The fish was cooked perfect. The batter stuck to it and was thin and crispy while the fish was still flaky and moist. Really outstanding.

Light crispy with food flavor.
Would be a 5 if it wasn't so greasy.
This was the 8oz option. Big portion.
One of the best, regardless.

Wish I could have tried their fish, but the guy was extremely rude and very agitated with our presence. Don’t need great customer service, but just want to be treated like I’m a human being living on this Earth.

Been wanting to try this place for 2 years because of the rave reviews. Day after Christmas, brought family from Arizona, and we all agreed to try this place. Closed. Very disappointed. However the Gyro place next door was fantastic! Will give this place another visit soon, and will update my review.

Best fries in the cartel and the other food is pretty good. Used to be super greasy however but something changed and its nowhere near as bad as it was a year or so ago. The fellow who works the cart is pretty quick. Prices are spot on and the haggis is fantastic.

Large portions. Batter was a little thick, Haddock was tasty. Chips needed salt or seasonings, a bit too thick for me.
Great service, adorable food cart.
