Popular and crowded on a Friday evening. I waited 10 minutes for a spot at the bar. Full menu available. Service was attentive and informative and friendly. The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine was very good, and the Dungeness crab starter was subtle yet full of a variety of flavors and was artistically presented. The cacio e pepe was also flavorful, strong yet delicious, but the presentation was quite simple. A cappucino was excellent, but the tiramisu was pedestrian in flavor (almost no flavor) and had the cold and consistency of old pudding. The bill for one person was over $140. The noise level was above average for a fine restaurant, but again, BOSA is seriously popular.
David was one of the most professional and friendly waiters I've ever had! Absolutely wonderful all around - worth the wait, but definitely make a reservation if you're short on time and don't want to sit at the bar.
Bosa is my #1 choice for dining in Bend! My husband and I love it so much that we booked our elopement dinner with them. Jenny and I worked together to formulate a menu that perfectly met our needs. Their whole team is attentive and went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was out of this world! Thank you Bosa!
This was the best Italian meal we've ever had! We ate at Bosa last year on our first trip to Bend and we've made two reservations to eat here for this year! You won't go wrong with anything on the menu. We have recommended Bosa to anyone visiting Bend!
The only reason I gave 4-stars on atmosphere is because I have moderate to severe hearing loss. Following table conversation is difficult even with start-of-the-art hearing aids.
The focaccia is divine. It was fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside with a gorgeous presentation; possibly the best we've ever tasted. The service was attentive and friendly without being disruptive. We were surprised and delighted with the seafood special and highly recommend the halibut. The flat iron steak and meatballs were fine, but nothing noteworthy or anything we'd order again. Their accompaniments- the pommes frites and tomato gravy - were both amazing, well balanced and hitting all the right flavor notes. Overall, one of our favorite dining experiences in Bend and we'll definitely be back to see what dishes match up in quality to the halibut and focaccia! I'm recovering from surgery - so no alcohol and both the Linda and Super Tuscan Sodas were fabulous treats!
The food and staff were amazing. Will be back and recommend. Do not skip if looking for a great meal in Bend!
Do not go here, it’s hard enough to get a reservation. Find some other place we’re keeping this one for ourselves!
The food was amazing and everything could be made gluten free. I loved my kale and sausage pasta dish and wished I went with friends to split more dishes but I was traveling alone. The bartenders were friendly and the ambiance wa nice.
The food was absolutely delicious! Literally the best pasta dish I have ever had. Unfortunately, our experience was a bit tainted by our server. We sat at the bar for dinner and our server (bartender with a beard), was so unfriendly we left feeling like he personally didn’t like us for some reason. The rest of the evening we questioned why he was giving us a cold vibe. We thought maybe it was because we didn’t order drinks right away? My partner ordered a glass of wine when dinner came and I don’t drink. Anyways, not one little smile, no thanks for coming in, never asked how our entrees were (he did check in about our appetizer). To top it off he was being super smiley and friendly to the couple next to us, who he seemed to know, so that’s why it felt kind of personal. Anyways, the rest of the staff was incredible.

We have been here many times, the food is always outstanding, everyone there adds to the positive dining experience. Love this place !
Best restaurant in Bend. Best cacio e pepe, even better than the best in Italy.

Conflicted leaving this review … but I felt like it’s useful for future BOSA guests and hopefully useful feedback for the owners, managers, kitchen.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first time I went to BOSA earlier this summer - the specials were flavorful, service was lovely, and the seasonal summer ingredients were fresh. The second time we visited, about a week and a half ago (during winter) no dishes really stood out entirely and it just felt overpriced for what’s been delivered. We celebrated a special occasion and to not ruin the mood, we didn’t speak up about concerns with the quality of the food, but I definitely regret not sending our seafood dishes back to the kitchen. To be clear, I work in the industry and I neverrr send dishes back until there’s a safety concern.
Both the Dungeness Crab appetizer and the Branzino had an unpleasant fishy smell to them. To the point that before eating, our entire table hesitated and wondered if we should call the manager over. We proceeded to eat, trusting the kitchen to take proper measures. Then, when the branzino came, it also didn’t smell or taste correct. As someone who works in Italy, and often with Mediterranean Seabass (wild and farmed) - when we source high quality “branzino” it *never* has a fishy taste or smell. If it does, this either comes from poor sourcing or restaurant storage.
Recognizing that Bend is a mountain town, I generally avoid seafood, but I trusted BOSA’s reputation to source and store properly … especially at the price point. My earnest feedback is that BOSA should consider entirely remove these dishes from the menu and/or the kitchen should be extremely on top of their sourcing and storage.
I wouldn’t be writing this review if not for the intense stomach issues the three of our party (who ate the branzino) had later that evening into the morning. I even started to feel nauseous 30 mins into the meal after the crab dish. I love crab and grew up catching/cooking/devouring them.
Also, the fusilli pasta was disappointing as the fresh pasta really had no texture or bite and it was overly salted. This dish could benefit from dry pasta or a briefer cooking time. The sausage was flavorful as was the tagliatelle w/ ragù. We enjoyed the lamb as well but at the end of the day - I feel like it’s overpriced for the quantity. $75 + tip for a few lamb chops? Mamma Mia. I realize restaurants in Bend can get away with absorbent prices, but at what point are we guests being taken advantage of? Talking to people I know in Bend, it seems like others share the same consensus and that should resonate with the owners if Bend locals are feeling this way.
I will be honest and say I am a harsh critic as I mostly live and work in Italy. I stray from writing negative reviews generally and I do think BOSA is a good addition to the town, but there are a few internal changes that could be made to the design of dishes and pricing as well.
Not writing BOSA off entirely, I would be interested to try it in the future and see if there are any positive changes (and update my review accordingly)

2nd time visiting this restaurant. The service is amazing and the homemade pasta, cocktails, and desserts are incredible. Lively atmosphere makes for an enjoyable time. Had a birthday in our group and the staff was wishing them a happy birthday and even left a b-day card on the table making it a truly special evening. Definitely one of our favs in Central Oregon.

Everything from start to finish was amazing! Flavorful delicious fresh food. There wasn’t one thing we ordered and didn’t like. It was vegetarian friendly and the service was great. We got seated at the bar and enjoyed the ambiance even more.
