“Great food. I really liked the grilled artichoke. They were stuffed with roasted garlic heads that were deeelish! The saffron pasta was excellent but I liked the bucatini with bone marrow bolognese sauce even more. Everyone liked their pizzas. Really liked the decor a lot.“

The lamb dumplings were delicious and were a perfect starter for a rainy night. Beef short ribs with bone marrow was the only logical follow for a main - and did not disappoint. I didn’t need dessert but the single burnt caramel truffle was literally only a bite more and worth the extra $5

The space is well appointed and comfortable if small. I went solo on a weeknight and didn’t need a reservation. The menu is not expansive and doesn’t need to be, they know what they’re doing. If you’re in Bend and want to treat yourself to a great meal do check out Dear Irene.“

“We just checked in for our first stay at Campfire Hotel. The staff is very friendly. The grounds and amenities are super fun and incorporate all there is to love about Bend into a great, comfortable spot!! We will definitely be back and we just got here!“

“We usually only go out for supper once a week, but when I saw Salute Restaurant & Bar Bend post about their gnocchi special tonight, I looked at Jim and said, “We're eating out two nights in a row!” I kicked things off with an Italian Margarita while Jim ordered a pilsner from pFriem. The amaretto float in the margarita gave it this amazing aftertaste that made me go, “Wait, what was that?”—in the best way. We both chose the “Local Special,” which includes a three-course meal for just $39. Such a great deal! For starters, Jim had the Caesar salad, and I went with the zuppa di cipolle. The onion soup was rich and flavorful, and I especially loved the cheese toasts on top—just like we do at home. Jim's Caesar was creamy, well-balanced, and hit all the right notes. For our mains, Jim ordered the scampi, which he said had a bright citrus flavor and just the right touch of garlic. I, of course, had the gnocchi special. Let me tell you, those gnocchi were light, airy, and practically pillowy. The pomodoro sauce was simple and perfect, letting the gnocchi shine. Dessert was a win, too. I had the strawberry cannoli—stuffed with ricotta and mascarpone, topped with fresh strawberries and toasted pistachios. It was crispy, lightly sweet, and a perfect finish to the meal. Jim was too full to enjoy his tiramisu at the table, but he took it to go and it looked beautiful—he'll be digging in later tonight. Service was excellent! I'm kicking myself for forgetting our server's name, but she was warm, attentive, and made sure we were having a great time. Her friendly chit-chat added that extra special touch to an already wonderful evening. Fingers crossed that gnocchi becomes a regular on the menu—hint hint! We'll definitely keep the Local Special in mind next time we're deciding where to eat.“

“One of my favorite restaurants in town! Food is always so fun and fresh. The decor is also over the top. Crab Rangoons are a favorite starter with the Saigon Bowl being a top main dish. Staff is very attentive. Bonus they are also open for lunch!“

The music was a bit loud because I was sitting next to the speaker and she graciously turned it down a little bit for me. So kind! I also ordered a drink I didn’t particularly like and she helped me with a new recommendation and got me a drink I really did enjoy! Every step of the process she was so attentive and nice. “We had great service today. However the halibut was overcooked and the famous chocolate cake was dry and tasteless. I don’t know what has changed, but this used to be my go to restaurant. Tonight I was disappointed.“
