Zola's on the Water Reviews
So disappointed. We had always made this a stop when we’d come to Brookings. Told all our friends it was a must. The past few times have been a big disappointment. First time we had a two hour wait for a pizza because they didn’t have enough oven space. Next time food wasn’t very good. This time might have taken the cake. Went to order pizzas told there was no take out. Them asked if we could put are name on a wait list. Was told no but it hasn’t been busy. Came back...read full review
It was an amazing experience when it was in the old building. Now it’s just so far removed from its roots, it’s not worth it. It’s too fancy and the old origins & the menu is loooong gone.
Great bar staff. But if you have allergies, make sure you ask about ingredients. Not all listed in the descriptions.

Zola's on the Water is a great little pub with a comfortable atmosphere and excellent food. The house salad remains a standout, featuring field greens, olives, and a flavorful homemade ranch dressing. The z-sticks are still a must-try, with thick fluffy bread and delicious toppings. The Big Z stix are great, and the fish and chips continue to impress, with perfectly crispy fries and delicate rock cod. The calamari and fish of the day are also recommended. The pizza is described as scrumptious, and the ambiance is pleasant, enhanced by a beautiful waterfront setting. New owners have stepped up their game. While some recent visits have mentioned a dip in food quality and service, the staff is still noted for being friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is dog-friendly, making it a nice spot for pet owners. Guests can enjoy drinks and the shrimp cocktail, which are delicious, while also appreciating the seafood vibe with landlubber options on the menu. Zola's is still a great place to relax out on the patio with a view, although there may be occasional waits for a table. Overall, it remains a great spot for a meal out.
