“This place is quickly turning into my goto for an evening bite and drink when in town.During a recent mid-January birthday visit, when the temps were below freezing, some venues were closed in town -- but thankfully not MacGregor's.Ordered a flight of high-end scotches in honor of the birthday. Three selected were: Loch Lomond 18. Laphroiag 16. Hypernova by Ardberg. Well-curated by Gabe and Alex. The Loch Lomond 18 "tastes like Christmas." That's the actual phrase they used to describe it and they are 100% correct. I tried it last year and decided it was close to the perfect holiday drink. Something incredibly delicious about that scotch. I think it's about $25 a pour?Had never had the Laphroaig 16 but it beat the Laphroaig 10 hands-down; Gabe helped me understand my reluctance towards the Laphroaig 10 by describing it as tasting "medicinal." Like any scotch drinker I love a stiff drink but "medicinal," which I equate with "trying too hard," is not my version of stiff. In contrast, the 16 was beautifully balanced and actually *spicy,* which I loved! But it was probably the Hyper Nova that was the surprise. It had a salty smoked meat aftertaste -- akin pastrami -- that made it remarkably delicious.Really good tasting experience.I had some toasted bread and butter with the flight; I'm a lightweight and won't drink without eating. They also poured a taste of a mezcal, to introduced me to the basics Mezcal. I need an education before heading to Oaxaca, Mexico later this month.Always welcome the education I get at MacGregor's. Thank you, gentlemen.Kid-friendliness: No one under 21 is permitted.“
“Wow, definitely a hidden gem. When I say do not leave Cannon Beach without stopping here I mean it. Arguably some of the best BBQ food I’ve had. We got the loaded dirty fries, Brie grilled cheese and pulled brisket sandwich. The loaded fries were a total knockout!“
“4- The Wayfarer just got a little facelift and I liked it. It lighten it up a bit inside but they keep the wood. It was a nice soft change, I feel was needed and well done. Refreshing but not in your face. Food and staff were still fabulous!Highly recommend the Wayfarer Restaurant. It over looks Haystack Rock so the view can't be beat! The service is the best. Wait staff is top notch and you will want for nothing. Great place for special occasions, or just to relax after a day on the beach. Lastly, The food is wonderful-pleasing to the eye, tasty, large portions and so filling. Highly recommend the fish and chips.“
“Legitimately one of the best bottle shops and tap rooms that I’ve ever been into. What this location lacks in quantity they more than make up for with quality. The owner has some of the best beers available on tap and/or in cans/bottles in their store. If you’re a beer or wine fan, you need to stop here on your trip to Seaside. To top it all off the owner is very personable. You won’t regret stopping by.“
“Great little bar on the river, I'm excited to go more often in the summer. I've tried their Italian grinder sandwich, their mozzarella sticks, artichoke dip which was fantastic and I usually get the drink special in the slushie machine which rotates. I want to try their French onion soup and pretzel next time!“
“Absolutely wonderful in every possible way! The food was perfectly wonderful and NW drinks were absolutely perfect, as was our bartender Bryan and our server :). Not to mention the atmosphere! Wonderful. Hands down the best dining experience I or my husband has ever had at the Oregon Coast. Thank you all for a positively delightful evening.“
