My wife and I had lunch at the Driftwood in Cannon Beach today, and it was somewhat disappointing.
The menu had been redone and there no prices listed for such items as soft drinks.
The server was unable to answer basic questions about the lunch items and had to ask for clarification from management more than once.
The fish and chips were so greasy that we had to request more paper napkins to squeeze the excess grease from the fish.
All in all, a somewhat disappointing...read full review
Best Clam Chowder! I also had one of the best rib eye steaks ever. The service was impeccable. 10/10 we will eat there again.

Driftwood Restaurant & Lounge, celebrating 80 years, offers a delicious dining experience with fresh oyster shooters and tasty fish. The atmosphere is inviting, with friendly service from Kelly. Located near public parking, it is easy to visit. The deck is nice and dog friendly, making it a great place to relax. The fried oysters are highly recommended, and the food is good and well priced with excellent portions. The restaurant has a classic, old school feel and a very fun deck, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. Service is generally good, and the staff are friendly and hardworking. The bar is open late, providing options for drinks, although some customers advise sticking to beer or wine as mixed drinks may not meet expectations. The ribeye steak was slightly underdone but the salmon was perfect, both served with well-prepared sides. The clam chowder was flavorful and the turkey sandwich and turkey club were very tasty, with plenty of turkey and crispy fries. The garlic bread was average, and the chocolate cake was not made in-house. Overall, Driftwood remains a favorite for good food, friendly service, and a pleasant environment. Making reservations is recommended to enjoy a meal at this well-loved restaurant.
