If you're used to the level of cheeriness from Dutch Bros then you might consider Common Grounds "rude"...I just felt like it was a perfectly normal interaction with no overly fake smiles. She matter of factly helped me choose a drink, made it well, wished me a good day and sent me on my way. Perfectly good coffee and interaction in my opinion :) I'll be back :)
We’re staying in Carlton for a few days and we’re so glad we found Common Grounds. The latte and brewed coffee we had were delicious as well as the toasted bagel. The young man working there was super friendly and helpful. We will be back.

I love this place. The coffee is delicious, and she makes it really hot.I never have to ask for it to be extra hot. I don't know what others are complaining about. If you want touchy feely service and coffee that tastes like melted ice cream, then go to Ducth Bros.
