“We had the BEST lunch at Monkey Business, and AMAZING clam chowder bread bowls - best I’ve ever had! Loved the family friendly atmosphere and the hook and ring games on the tables. Owned and ran by a lovely local couple. It was my first time here, and I will be back every time I come to Charleston from here on out!“

“02/14/24. Hasn't changed, still the best from florence, reedsport, winchester bay and coosbay. The make a good ribeye for beef lovers great Australian lobster tail and escargo.May 2021. Had a dish called the Coquille.. OMG good.. Out of over 8,000 reviews I have possibly 10 resturants that have five stars. Well, I added this one today.First off, our waitress was Cheryl or Sheryl. She answered alot of questions about where the seafood comes from and gave her opinion of what she liked most. A couple I asked about she haden't tried but I wanted to know if they would make the shrimp with scallops and a white sauce rather than tomatoe base and she said yes.We had the captains platter, everything was delicious and so soft on flavor that we didnt use cocktail or tartar sauce. It was all tender and the scallops litterally melted in your mouth. I appreciated that it wasnt soaking in grease too.We had deepfried crab legs, a crab cocktail and clam chowder for starters. It was all delicious and the only thing I would have liked to have had was a little more flavor in the chowder. The clams were tender, flavorfull and not one bite of sand.We cant wait to go back and have Australian lobster tail when they have it and the afforementioned custom dish. It is a bit pricey but worth every dime. If Long Johns is your idea of seafood you will change your mind if you eat here.I update my reviews as I go back and review other dishes or the ones Ive had before looking for consistantcy so check them again. Rate them if you would. I like to hear that I am helping people and making them happy.“

Clausen Oysters Seafood • $$
66234 N Bay Rd, North Bend - 9.78 miles

“If you like oysters and you like them fresh, you must stop by Clausen’s Oysters in North Bend! Don’t be fooled by its unassuming exterior - they know their stuff! We ordered fish n chips, shrimp cocktail, and a couple of the fried oyster sides. So good! Hot, crispy fried fish and oysters complimented with spicy cocktail sauce, dilly tartar sauce, creamy cole slaw and hot fries. This is also THE place to get your oysters if you want to take some home. Casual indoor or outdoor dining for a decent price. Yum!“

“The food trucks are great! I go there to support them. The bar area though is a different story. It always has a very unpleasant smell and the flies are pretty bad.. I highly suggest going to sweet heart waffle truck, on the strip, and the big cheese. The others have good food too, but those are our favorites.“

I've been going to Yeong's for over 20 years, and the nostalgia that brought me there keeps me going back.I had the carnivore burger, which was on special. Kezzi--the owner and a fellow high school alumni--built this masterpiece with the deft hands of a professional. A beautiful symphony of Cow, pig, and all the veggies a fellow could wish for. Bravo, Yeong's. Bravo!“

“Brilliant, kind, patient and fun staff! This place is run excellently and clearly in great hands. Treated this first timer like a princess lol. We drink a lot of coffee we usually stop to pick up some fresh from McDonald’s or any other fast food joint almost every morning and after coming here I can confidently say it’s the only place I’ll be getting coffee from now on! Got a caramalizer cold brew and pumpkin caramel crème brûlée cold brew and absolutely amazing! Some of the best coffee I’ve genuinely had. Great coffee taste, not too sweet or bitter. Perfect! Can’t wait to try the golden eagle chai next time I go.“

The Clubhouse at Coos Golf Club American • $
93884 Coos-Sumner Ln #7452, Coos Bay - 7.31 miles

“Five stars for an excellent experience - from the time we were greeted by Andre to the starter who accompanied us to the tee box to explain the lay of the land and suggestions to how to play some holes. Each hole offered its own challenges and how best to approach the green. We got lost several times trying to figure out where some of the holes were and everyone was so helpful in redirecting us to the right hole. The facility is dated - a diamond in the rough, one that I can easily overlook while improvements are being made. I'm sure in its hey day it was an awesome club. Reasonable green fees, challenging course and superior staff. Extra point for the cat! You guys are doing it right.“

“2024: Having been through Covid and come out the other side, I have found this restaurant to be just as delicious as ever. The waitstaff are wonderful! So energetic and personable. The beer is as delicious as the first time we tried it, the fries were wonderfully crisp and hot. I even asked for a 7&7 and not even a question was asked, the waitress knew what it was and got it for me. I heartily recommend the Oktoberfest and any drink you care to order as well as every last dessert on the menu! Thanks so much for the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back again.--So much delicious food!! Just moved to Coos Bay and my mom bought us a gift certificate. Thanks so much Nicole for waiting on us so patiently through a whole liter stein of Hofbrau original with our dinner! A 2 hour affair. The Jagerschnitzel (crispy pork cutlet) was covered in tender mushrooms, tasty tasty brandy sauce, and came with not only crispy hot fries but a dish of spicy marinated red cabbage too. The last niblet was a whole slice of chocolate buttercream cake with a cream layer so wide I thought I might be able to ski down it. I graciously allowed my husband to share with me.I think this will become a fast favorite for us! I had a great time!“
