“I've been coming here for lunch whenever I can for the past two years, and it never disappoints! Easily some of the best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food in the Portland area. There can be a bit of a wait during lunch hour since it's a one-man food cart operation (at most 10-15 minutes), but it's always worth it since everything is fresh and made-to-order. From the massive gyros to the delicious plates, everything is a must-try. To top it off, Ali is incredibly friendly and passionate, and it truly shows in the quality of his food.“

“It was my first time experiencing this place and pre ordered the Lamb Pulao. It is a grocery store and I was greeted almost instantly and the service was fast and friendly. The dish was freshly prepared and the meat was moist and tender and not over seasoned. Large portion and it came with a bread that wasn’t expected. If I were closer I would be tempted to frequent this place often. Very delicious!“

“Had the chicken shawarma taco for Taco Week and it was great! Also had a falafel salad - falafel had amazing flavor! Loved their hot sauce too. The owner is also super nice and says his wife makes all the desserts. Can’t wait to try more things!“

“Mediterranean food place just under new management as of June 2026. Waiter explained that he is altering dishes to be more authentically Syrian and Iraqi. I enjoyed his enthusiasm. And everything in the veggie combo. The falafel and dolmades were perfect, tasty but not greasy. The okra soup was fun to try as I don't ever see that on the menu.“

“Honestly, for a chain, Dave's hot chicken demolishes the competition. Never had undercooked chicken from here and on top of that the service is always great and never a rude experience. “I went out at 2:20 in the morning to get something to eat. I did not expect to eat one of the best meals I’ve had in a while at that price range. The store owner was very nice and gave me a few recommendations for what to eat and he made an excellent choice because the food was amazing. The environment around the outside of the store was a little rough but that was not the store owners fault and shouldn’t take away from the quality of the food. Overall a great place to eat, would recommend for a night munch.“
