“The chicken is moist and well breaded and fried. The heat is great, I ordered the extra hot and was very happy with the heat level. My wife ordered the medium and it's a little below a jalapeno.

We have to request the remake an item and they were very helpful getting fixed. Great food and service, the indoor area feels a bit small when it's busy though.“

“It was my first time experiencing this place and pre ordered the Lamb Pulao. It is a grocery store and I was greeted almost instantly and the service was fast and friendly. The dish was freshly prepared and the meat was moist and tender and not over seasoned. Large portion and it came with a bread that wasn’t expected. If I were closer I would be tempted to frequent this place often. Very delicious!“

“Enjoyed a chicken karahi taco: The meat was flavorful, and we upgraded to a naan-taco. The chicken was tender, and adding the sauce is a definite must. It added freshness and additional depth of flavor.
Then we get to the beef nihari: we also upgraded this one to a naan-taco and I expected it to be good after enjoying the chicken, but it went far beyond my expectation. The beef was so tender and juicy. Very melt in your mouth. The flavor was complex and I want to go back and grab another 10!“

“Awafi is a great place to get freshly made and delicious Mediterranean / Middle Eastern cuisine on the street in downtown. Menu has lots of choices. Usually I order a falafel wrap and every time it tastes so fresh that it’s a real pleasure to eat. Owner is a great guy and runs a wonderful food cart. Try it … you will be glad that you did!“

I thought I wasn’t a big fan of shawarma but after eating here I realized that other places just don’t do it like these guys!! “First time taste - got the #1, with kale slaw. First, a lot of food - way bigger than I expected. Very generous sized tenders! I went with ‘Hot’ spice level, and that was a good choice. It was delicious spicy, causing a little nose drip, but not overwhelming or distracting. Tender for sure. Delicious. Second, the fries were a pleasant surprise - nice and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Nicely done! Third, the kale slaw was pretty tasty - I expected drowned in mayo, and bland. But it’s fresh, and pairs well.
Last, the parking is a little awkward, but I love that they have a take out window on the sidewalk. Convenient. (I do wish for a grilled - not breaded - version instead of fried, but hey… 🤷‍♂️

“We had our first meal in Oregon at Gyro Grill. What an amazing way to start our vacation! Food was cooked to order and so delicious. Gyro plate, chicken kebab pita w fries gyro burger and a bubble tea. Both the tzatziki and hummus seemed like they were made on the spot.“

“UPDATE- we ordered catering from Moonlight Grill and we were surprised to find out that the business had been sold to a new owner. We were disappointed to hear this as we were not notified prior. The new owners are very kind and accommodating. It is important to note that the food tastes different because they are using new recipes.

Old review: Best Mediterranean spot in town. The food is fresh and the staff is friendly. We are a bit picky about food- quality, salt level, and seasoning, Moonlight Grill checks all the boxes for the perfect meal. We picked up catering this weekend for Easter and the platters were beautifully assembled. Our families were so impressed by the flavor. The hummus, dolmas, and kafta kabob are our favorites, but everything here is delicious.“

“We’ve never been to a Dave’s Hot Chicken and was traveling through Portland, OR and decided to stop and try the food. Our cashier Leandro F. was AMAZING ! He took the time to answer all our questions and made suggestions which was perfect for us. He then came by our table to make sure we had everything we needed. Great service !! Love the vibe in here, totally casual but clean, the food was tasty but for sure Leandro was the highlight. Way to hire such good folks to represent your Brand. Thanks ! See you next time !

“I went out at 2:20 in the morning to get something to eat. I did not expect to eat one of the best meals I’ve had in a while at that price range. The store owner was very nice and gave me a few recommendations for what to eat and he made an excellent choice because the food was amazing. The environment around the outside of the store was a little rough but that was not the store owners fault and shouldn’t take away from the quality of the food. Overall a great place to eat, would recommend for a night munch.“
