New Cathay restaurant and lounge: The food here is truly excellent. They are accommodating with custom orders, and the quality remains consistent for both dine-in and takeout options. However, when it comes to the lounge, I must express my disappointment. On my birthday a few months ago, the experience was underwhelming. The bar matron displayed a bossy and dismissive attitude, which put a damper on the celebration.
This food was the most bland Chinese food I've ever had. The sweet and sour sauce was an odd color and runny like water. Not fried rice, it was basically white rice with a few specks of egg. Only good thing was the hot and sour soup.

We only got a couple appetizers but neither one of them or anything to speak of except for the fact that the barbecue pork obviously came straight out of a package from Safeway or Fred Meyers and warmed up a little bit. The fried shrimp was just frozen shrimp that they threw in the deep fryer so the mustard red sauce that made it more Chinese I will never BBQ pork. The drink wasn't anything special fairly weak.
