“I was visiting Coburg and I was told by the locals that it had the best pizza around. So I promptly went to order pizza not knowing what kind to get. I spent $21 on a small pepperoni pizza and had requested additional fresh vegetables over the top. The order was to go. I returned home and attempted to eat the pizza. It tasted like smoke with burnt pepperoni on a thin crust that was like shoe leather with barely any sauce on it. There were small chopped up pieces that looked like bell pepper, but nothing that surrounded it with rings of fresh vegetables over the top like the picture on the menu had shown. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong kind of pizza. I was expecting a nice thick fresh crust that was oozing with cheese and sauce. That was not the case. The young man at the cash register was very kind. However, the pizza still hovers a taste of smoke in my mouth with no satisfaction of a delicious pizza. I most likely will not return.
My initial review does not stand true as I went back to discuss the issue with the previous pizza that I had ordered. The young man behind the counter was very helpful and helping me Select a replacement pizza. You can see the difference with the two photos below one was the pepperoni pizza that was burnt, and the other was a vegetarian pizza with salami. It was with a thicker crust and more sauce on it. Much more tasty and living up to the standard with which I had been told about this company. I give them a five star now and they will replace your pizza if you are not satisfied.“

“Went there tonight for my birthday and for the first time. The ambiance: amazing! Went with the family and it’s so cozy in there! The service: super attentive. Our server was very knowledgeable about every part of the menu and explained it thoroughly. Really cool pronunciation of all the menu items (I butchered everything 😂) The food: OMG, the food! We shared a margherita pizza and a seasonal polenta appetizer —it was fresh and amazing. I had the seasonal mushroom ravioli with a truffle cream sauce. My partner had the squid ink pasta. His parents each had one of the chicken dishes. We then shared two chocolate forward desserts. We left stuffed and happy. Our server kept apologizing for the speed of service but we were very happy to just chill out and visit and enjoy it all. My partner and I look forward to returning and enjoying this establishment again as a couple. I highly recommend it!“

“I love this restaurant. I've been going here for years. I always recommend it to people that are looking for a great locally owned gem, have just moved here or are visiting. I love the authentic Italian food. And the building is a very cool older house with a great feel to it. I think its very romantic and a nice place to treat yourself/loved ones. Its privately owned by 2 Italian gentleman. Hence the name. Sometimes they will be at the restaurant and are very friendly and fun to talk to. I highly recommend.“

“They must've seen how sappy me and my romantic partner were being, because they put us in the most "Lady and the Tramp" part of the restaurant, right in front of the gas fireplace. The service was great (Leo 🤘) and we ended up cleaning our plates. Well done.“

“How many times have you thought to yourself? I would love an actual pizza that has, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles style cheese, but nobody makes it like that. Look no more at 40, I’ve been eating here my whole life and I will always get this pizza before any other type of pizza. The crust, the cheese, the atmosphere, the taste, there really is nothing like it. PS if you’re a Canadian bacon and pineapple person, this will be the best you ever had. These pizzas are the bees, actual bending knees.“

“The restaurant was busy, the staff were helpful and accommodating. We put our names in (there are a handful of "table" seats, the rest are wall/counter seats - they've made the most of available floor space) and approx 40 minutes later we were seated (we were told it would be 30-40 minutes so right on time). You'll get a text when seating is ready so if you want to take a stroll around the area you can. Ordering was digital and food came out at a reasonable pace. We tried a bit of everything and didn't get one thing we didn't enjoy. We'll definitely be back! Only gave the atmosphere a 4 just because of the tighter quarters and noise level (to be expected with the space/layout/number of people). Just noting that for those that may be sensitive to those things.“

“Excellent, leisurely birthday lunch in a quiet corner of the restaurant. Wait staff were attentive to us and responsive to whatever we needed to make the dining wonderful. The food was delicious starting with the French onion soup. The hummus plate was outstanding as was the Reuben sandwich. We'll be coming back soon!“

“My friend and I had the lunch special. All the pizza was hot and delicious. There was a large selection of pizzas to choose from. The salad bar had a good variety to choose from. It was really busy but we got helped right away and found a great place to sit. All in all it was a great experience!“
