“Great pizza. However, next time I won't get the stuffed crust, as I like a flavorful crust with some caramelization from the sauce and cheese. This was just a bland soft cheese in a bland soft crust. Even just brushing some garlic butter (or even just butter, or tomato sauce) would have improved it quite a bit. It looks like the non-stuffed pizzas do extend the sauce/cheese out to the edge to get that wonderful browning.“

“Went there tonight for my birthday and for the first time. The ambiance: amazing! Went with the family and it’s so cozy in there! The service: super attentive. Our server was very knowledgeable about every part of the menu and explained it thoroughly. Really cool pronunciation of all the menu items (I butchered everything 😂) The food: OMG, the food! We shared a margherita pizza and a seasonal polenta appetizer —it was fresh and amazing. I had the seasonal mushroom ravioli with a truffle cream sauce. My partner had the squid ink pasta. His parents each had one of the chicken dishes. We then shared two chocolate forward desserts. We left stuffed and happy. Our server kept apologizing for the speed of service but we were very happy to just chill out and visit and enjoy it all. My partner and I look forward to returning and enjoying this establishment again as a couple. I highly recommend it!“

“Fabulous authentic Italian food“

“We found ourselves in Eugene after driving from Portland to see the Savannah Bananas play. As a family, we love good food and needed a place to seat 5 of us for dinner after the show. We came across Osteria DOP, and fortunately they were able to seat us by the chef's table. These guys are artists, yet unpretentious. They know their food. We ordered from a large portion of the menu and shared a bottle of wine. Pastas were perfectly cooked. Pizzas had a fantastic crust. Ingredients were super fresh. Everyone was friendly, and even though we were the last to leave since we lost track of time and were having such a good time, no one rushed us out. They took time to chat with us and get to know us a little better. I had such a good time that I accidentally left my favorite cold weather jacket on their coatrack, but I didn't notice it was missing until a couple weeks later (I live in LA, where you don't need it much). I reached out to the guys, and they promptly mailed it back. Seriously, who does that these days? Great food, great people. Highly recommend a visit if you're ever in the area.“

“I love this restaurant. I've been going here for years. I always recommend it to people that are looking for a great locally owned gem, have just moved here or are visiting. I love the authentic Italian food. And the building is a very cool older house with a great feel to it. I think its very romantic and a nice place to treat yourself/loved ones. Its privately owned by 2 Italian gentleman. Hence the name. Sometimes they will be at the restaurant and are very friendly and fun to talk to. I highly recommend.“

“Growing up in Italy, I’ve always had high expectations when it comes to pasta, and The Old Spaghetti Factory has become one of my go-to spots here. I stop by often for their classic spaghetti with mizithra cheese and browned butter. simple, rich, and so comforting, it instantly brings me back to Sunday family dinners in Turin. The quirky, vintage atmosphere makes it even more special, almost like stepping into a storybook“

“They must've seen how sappy me and my romantic partner were being, because they put us in the most "Lady and the Tramp" part of the restaurant, right in front of the gas fireplace. The service was great (Leo 🤘) and we ended up cleaning our plates. Well done.“

“The restaurant was busy, the staff were helpful and accommodating. We put our names in (there are a handful of "table" seats, the rest are wall/counter seats - they've made the most of available floor space) and approx 40 minutes later we were seated (we were told it would be 30-40 minutes so right on time). You'll get a text when seating is ready so if you want to take a stroll around the area you can. Ordering was digital and food came out at a reasonable pace. We tried a bit of everything and didn't get one thing we didn't enjoy. We'll definitely be back! Only gave the atmosphere a 4 just because of the tighter quarters and noise level (to be expected with the space/layout/number of people). Just noting that for those that may be sensitive to those things.“

“I needed a fix for my cravings for light fried and lasagna w a sip of sangria and Olive Garden popped up. I ordered two appetizers, lasagna and sangria. I get tipsy very easily but enjoyed my time here and my stomach was happy, glad I am not driving. Will be back again. Thanks !“

“How many times have you thought to yourself? I would love an actual pizza that has, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles style cheese, but nobody makes it like that. Look no more at 40, I’ve been eating here my whole life and I will always get this pizza before any other type of pizza. The crust, the cheese, the atmosphere, the taste, there really is nothing like it. PS if you’re a Canadian bacon and pineapple person, this will be the best you ever had. These pizzas are the bees, actual bending knees.“

We stopped at Rye in Eugene on our way home, and honestly, everything impressed us — the flavors, the presentation, and the overall atmosphere. Every dish we tried was delicious and thoughtfully prepared.

But the biggest surprise was the goat cheese cheesecake. I had never tried cheesecake made with goat cheese before, and it was incredible. We shared one slice at dinner and ended up taking three more slices with us for the next morning because the restaurant was going to be closed. That probably says it all. 😊
