The food was fresh and great tasting, will be back again had the Shrimp PO boy and slaw
had the shrimp Alfredo and fish and fries omg there food was very yummy
When Fisherman’s Grotto closed, we were very disappointed. Then we were told about John’s Grotto. Wonderful. Same great food , same great service. We will be back! We highly recommend John!

Johns Grotto LLC is a seafood food truck located in Empire, up the hill from the Hollering Place. It carries on the legacy of the former Fisherman’s Grotto, an institution in Charleston, with the same chef and the same great food. The menu features classics from the old restaurant, including excellent shrimp tacos, a shrimp po boy, delicious fish n chips, and shrimp pasta with lemon cream sauce. The fish is fresh and thick, not greasy. Portions are generous and prices are good. The food is delectable and fresh-made. The owner is friendly and provides great customer service. There is a large parking lot with picnic tables for outdoor eating and a recycling bin. It is considered the best food truck in town and worth a special trip.
